skip next gen until 1080p n 60FPS becomes the standard

Its a joke that I have to throw down my hard earned money and cant even play at 1080 n 60fps yet.

The PC has a lot of disadvantages and thats why PC gaming is dying but at least they get 1080 and 60fps games.

And how can you even play a wii with those fuzzy graphics running at 568p and below locked at 20-30 fps.

no wonder games are getting delayed.

Or get a job and buy a PC.

Like hell I'm skipping out on an entire gen filled with games.

Its different on the PC because you sit inches away from the monitor.

My PC works just fine.

30 FPS will always be the main design choice on consoles, most games dont need to be 60 FPS.

It will never be the standard for consoles so might as well just quit console gaming. Developers are going to try to push the hardware. When casuals buy a next series in a game, such as NBA 2k series, they expect new to look better than the old.

This is what makes me like PC gaming even more, games will get bigger, they will look better, they will have less load screens, (some day they will have none).

Imagine how much power that would require to go at 60 fps.

Next next gen you are going to have the same crap only with consoles not being capable of 4k. If you want the best graphics you need a PC it's as simple as that. Arguing spec differences and inefficiencies between consoles is for the simple minded :)

Even with a all this talk about 1080p vs 720p. You cannot tell the difference unless you are either playing on a small monitor while sitting either a few feet away in a bedroom or on a living room set, 50 inches or bigger. It appears many people in this thread are just victims of marketing specs from television manufacturers trying to get people to upgrade their 720p sets prematurely. It's not much different than the same manufacturers boasting about contrast ratios that the human eye cannot detect or home theater and headphone companies boasting about massive frequency responses you cannot hear.

The difference is noticeable on both a monitor and TV

No its not. Either you are fooling yourself into thinking that, your 1080p set is just of better quality than your 720p or your set isn't properly calibrated. In order to get any benefit from 1080p in your living room on a set below 50 inches is if you are sitting closer than 10 to 12 feet away.

So basically unless you have a monster set or you are a child who plays in his bedroom, you don't need 1080p.

The ignorance is astounding. When 1080p 60 frames is standard for consoles, PC's will be doing 4k resolutions with 120fs or some shit, any game on consoles can be 1080p with 60 fps it's a trade off that's made by the devs because they know they can make the game look better with other effects.

The only reason we make a big deal about it is to compare consoles, as in if one can do it aka PS4, and the Xboner can't we get to make fun of lems.

Every gen will be the same, fixed hardware always has the trade off. Always, next gen will be the same thing, the one after that too. Learn2Tech.

There’s a reason why some of the first 4K devices on the market are projectors and giant 84-inch monsters like the Sony XBR 84X900. I have noticed that some people on here would prefer a completely drab boring game if it had "native 1080p" on the back of the box. Sometimes other things are put in place of having that golden standard resolution like better phsyics and a more vibrant artstyle or gameplay that is truly smooth.

What? I've had the same signature for I can't remember how long. I added the Vita and stuff after the site redesign. W/e though.
