What a disaster. I've barely logged on today and it's

- frozen itself as soon as the home page loaded
- served me numerous error 500 pages
- logged me out without me doing so
- and gave me a posting error

More and more people are jumping ship by the minute. Or should I say hour, because that's how slow the traffic is?

Why does this redesign exist, if the entire site is as glitchy as it used to be, but slower?

Well, if you wanted to design a forum that makes people not want to post then GS you hit the mark.

The posts/views should be changed around. Posts should be first, then views.

How does one remove an image that has been uploaded on your profile?

Don't quote me on it but I think someone stated that you can't yet, whether that means it's a bug or it's not a feature. I remember someone saying it a few days ago.

You should bring back some sort of way of knowing if we posted on a certain thread without having to go to the Forums page.

I really dislike the 50 posts per page... there is no fix for that? I want my 20 back... other than that Im enjoying the new layout on both pc and mobile.

SW had been dead ever since the redesign. GS really needs to go back to the old forum layout, cause SW isnt gonna last much longer if this keeps up.

Also, we need a number of unread posts per thread, and a marker to indicate which threads you posted in, much more convenient than the profile feed. Both minor, but very useful features, no reason not to have them. Why even think of removing them?

I've barely been on the site since the redesign. I just don't like it. Some aspects of the layout have been improved, but others have been nerfed or erased altogether. I'll return in due time and see if it's still fucking shit

Bottom line is that if gamespot is treating the new site as a work in progress to make a better place for its loyal community then all the good features will find their way in... If they treat it like a "deal with it" endeavor then people will most likely find other options.

SIte is a bit speedier today..Well, maybe I shouldn't use the word speed. It's more like going from the prone position to a crawl.

Baby steps. I really would like the ability to jump to where I last posted like the old site.

@heretrix: I agree... Especially with 50 post pages... My greatest deterrent on Any forum is sizing through text to get back to where I was. Blah. Gotta believe they'll figure out a way to get it done.

On another note, missed ya at comic con this weekend heretrix... Wow, what a crazy show. Next year maybe.

You know what I don't quite understand is why we can use animated gifs in our avatars (something a user with a slow computer or connection can't disable) but we can't use them in our sigs (something a user with a slow computer or connection could disable). Maybe it's because the size of the image is only so big? But even small animations from a pixel sense can be pretty hefty.

Just a passing thought.

I wondered why, myself. Especially considering sigs can be disabled (as they could on the old site).

I understood the 1MB limit, but getting rid of them entirely, just seems rather silly.

Seems you can animate your profile banner image, as well. That's much, much larger image space.

Wow, that is unusual. I guess the only reasoning, is that it's a single image, on a single page. I'mma miss GIF sigs.

Comic Con is always insane and heaps of fun.. But yeah, I would have rather had been there than working..lol.

wow the rebuild is tough to get used too. One thing I always liked about systemwars was the sheer speed of posting and responses that you get. That is pretty much gone. It is definitely nice and im willing to stick it out. Anyway, what is the best way to get your picture up, everytime I go to upload a picture or images I just get a black page. any tips? really would like a cool avatar. thanks.

Yeah, it's annoying, but it's a cosmetic issue, while thread markers and unread post number are features that are very important to forum browsing, so they should be made a priority.

I really hope someone's listening to this, because there's a lot of fixing up to be done.

No, views should be removed. Who, other than GS, cares about views anyway?

Total posts should be first, new/unread messages should be second. And the unread messages should be a link that jumps to the first new/unread message.

Why the hell do we have to upload photos!!!! The stupid crap doesn't even show the photo in its original form for god sakes, its either choose large which makes it blurry ,or small which makes it so small it's pointless LOL

I have not been able to log on as my original account Spartan070 since the redesign. Account started in November of 2004, over 16,000 posts, pretty much all on SW, and now I can't log in. I've sent GS emails which have received no reply and when I tried to make a new account with that username it told me that the name was already taken...

Jesus, could we make sigs at least 600 x 250? The current heights are ridiculous.

Your original account seems to be in the system, and in good status. When you tried to log in, did you use your email or your username? Apparently there have been issues with using your email to log in, so if you've been doing that then you should try logging in using your username instead.

Also I know that you're frustrated, but maybe next time use an image that's a little smaller. :-)

No stability issues, the only problem is the ugly and messed up layout.

Why would you make it more complicated looking..

The performance is atrocious and the shiny bits are unnecessarily complicated.

In a time where more and more people browse using mobile (and they like me want the desktop version on it) making these changes doesn't make any sense.

It was bad enough when you added the comments powered by livefyre which didn't work on any mobile browser (I had to write them on any other input box and then post them there) but now the entire site is useless, even on a desktop it takes way longer than it should to load anything.

So I created an 80 x 80 gif for my avatar, and in is all messed up. It is zoomed in and all pixelated instead of nice and crisp looking like some of you other guys. It looks right on the screen I uploaded it on, but here on the forum it is a mess. Any ideas?

I agree one hundred perecent, it's just terrible now. It is hard to put a finger on one thing but its bad.
