Whether PS4 or X1 fanboys want to admit it or not, the general consensus from game sites and mags have agreed Nintendo won E3.

So after we were all blown away by such massive games like the new open world Zelda, and Yoshi's Wooly World, The customizable Super Mario, and Splatoon.

What can X1 or PS4 possibly offer that would begin to touch any of the above mentioned titles in sales?

Especially after we saw such titles as Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3 and Mario Kart 8 launch Wii-U sales through the roof.

I'm aware of such upcoming titles as Halo and Uncharted, but neither of those will propel system sales like Nintendo 1st party titles.

Ya' have to admit no games sell like Nintendo 1st party titles, and with those systems sales boosts for each Nintendo exclusive the third party sales will be close behind.

Infamous S.S. and Titanfall didn't come close to one million in the U.S. alone, but hypothetically even if they did, which I don't think they did, you have to realize the hardware ratio of the Wii-U in comparison to X1 and PS4 because X1 I think is almost at 10 million and the PS4 at 12 million worldwide whereas the Wii-U is bringing up the rear with a little over 9 million worldwide, so Mario Kart selling over a million copies in the U.S. alone is a huge accompllishment.

Nintendo has won quite a few e3's during the period where they are declining. It doesn't mean a whole lot.

Let's see Mario, Mario, and yoshi platformers. And a Zelda game. Gonna have to bring more than that to win.

That's enough to win the mediocre E3 everyone had.

At least list Captain Toad, Splatoon, Xenoblade, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. and localized 3DS games.

You know I found out some interesting news about the WiiU while I was at game stop today as I was looking to get a WiiU for my kids for Xmas.

You can't use 2 of the screened controllers on a single WiiU wtf?!?!?! I have 2 kids and that's just not a headache I want to give myself. So now it's doubting the whole WiiU purchase.

That's a big WiiU fail!!!!

This year? Not much. MS has the Halo MCC and I'm not sure what PS4 has for this year. I think its just Driveclub? Either way its not looking good for first party exclusives this year. Even in 2015 you're looking at The Order and Uncharted. MS' 2015 looks pretty good though.

Is this true? I never knew that, I thought the problem was that they were expensive but it could be done. If that is the case, that is a fail. It would have been the perfect way to bring split screen gaming back.

... it does support up to 2.... but they are ridiculously expensive. (£250 console.... nintendo charge £180 if it breaks apperently.) and the power that would consume aswell... you cant treat it as a normal controller.

The screen isnt that important anyway ... just get a wii mote an nunchuck or pro controller to go with it,.

Well they can focus on making more games? in the end all that counts, but yeah Nintendo had the best no BS E3 I've seen for years (practically over a generation).

So 2014 is in Nintendos favor, and 2015 sofar seems like a mix between Nintendo and 3rd Party Again, although MS and Sony seems to get moveing somewhat in 2015.

it's a shame it has literally no 3rd party which means it misses the majority of game releases.

Keep in mind, the marketing this thing had before it released-right after it released was "we're doing this for core gamers! we have 3rd party support like Mass Effect, Batman, and AC!"

not even getting the last gen AC this fall or Call of Duty.

@MBirdy88: dude it doesn't exists you can't even buy a 2nd one. Most games aren't developed to use a 2nd wiiu game pad player 2 is stuck using wii mote/nunchuck or their 360 type controller!

Whoever won E3 is subjective based upon the games that you like. For instance, with the reveal of Uncharted 4, I personally think Sony won E3.

Why would you need two touch pad controllers, i have two kids also, but unless their spoiled rotten, all they should really care about is playing the game, because most multiplayer games don't require use of the screen anyway.

However even if it becomes an issue there is such a thing as teaching your kids to take turns, or the one left whining for the tablet controller can just be told that his Wii-mote controller will still be working days after the tablet controller batteries die out and has to be recharged.

What i am mainly talking about is the flaw in both the PS4 and Xbox One hardware, those two consoles are more like computers now then they've ever been, and in my mind that's a very bad thing.

Those consoles have so much crap running at once and so much B.S. tied into their networks that link to the games, before you know it when one thing goes wrong it all goes down, and it's become more trouble than it's worth.

Who the hell wants to be bothered worrying about hard drive space or if certain games will be playable if the network goes down....console gamers, as far as i know just want to put the game in, push start and get to playing.....just like the good ol' days of the cartridge format.

As of right now the Wii-U is the only console left that's the closest one to that, just pop the game in and your playing in seconds...and that kind of hassle free hardware coupled with those 1st party showings at E3 is the only choice for me.

Why do sheep continue with this? WiiU is almost dead in the water because it lacks 3rd party, it's 1st party simply is enough from keeping it from sinking and giving it a slight impulse.

It's so sad that repeated Mario and Zelda games are the reason Wii U "won" E3. But I guess that's where we are with Nintendo these days.

You bash Nintendo without batting an eye, so you must prefer the superior hardware of X1 and PS4..which would make prettier graphics your preference.

Secondly the year was 1983 the original Atari systems were dying off, Atari 2600 cartridges were being buried in the desert by the thousands, the game industry about to become a memory, then Nintendo released the NES and games like Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda and Punch Out gave birth to a new generation of home video gaming and the industry has been going strong ever since.

So yes without Nintendo there would be no game industry.

Do you get Game Informer magazine ? because every time a Nintendo 1st party title is released and reviewed it gets awarded their Gold, Platinum or Silver Game of the month along with the highest review score for that month above all...including PC, PS4 and X1 games, don't believe me ?, check the mags with Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D world.

So laugh that one off.....but you'll probably just dismiss Game informer as an unreliable source or a joke of a magazine altogether, but regardless it is the most subscribed to and widely generated magazine in the world both digitally and in print, especially since it's tied into Gamestop stores, so i guess your comment is a nice fat fail.

Given your lack of proper grammar and the fact that you couldn't even spell damn correctly, i'll take into consideration your between 12 to 21 years of age, and therefore know nothing of the gaming industry.

You most likely ran up to mommy and daddy, or Santa depending on your age and asked for a PS4 or Xbox One for Christmas because you saw some big shiny G.I. Joe looking military guy's in a Sony or Microsoft TV ad running around shooting one another and thought that it was the best thing ever.

Um, yeah that does not encompass the entire gaming universe, i know that's a shock to you but it doesn't, so run along my boy school is starting up again, go back to the 7th grade and learn about math, history, english and science, because although you might never use any of that knowledge, at least you might retain some of it, because your only embarrassing yourself here with your complete lack of gaming knowledge.

So concludes our lesson for today...run along now.

Why do sheep continue with this? WiiU is almost dead in the water because it lacks 3rd party, it's 1st party simply is enough from keeping it from sinking and giving it a slight impulse.

LOL you are a disrespectful graphics lover aren't you ? If it wasn't for Nintendo there would be no game industry, maybe if you realized that your opinion might count for something.

Nothing you said makes sense.

What does anything I said have to do with graphics?

If it wasn't for Nintendo there would be no game industry? LOL!

I hate it when people say Nintendo are responsible for the games industry. If it wasnt Nintendo it would have been another company.

But it wasn't another company, Atari, Colecovision and Intellivision were dead, and the world gaming market was wide open to anyone, and like it or not it WASNintendo that stepped up and started it all and kept it going ever since.

So there would have been a game industry without Nintendo. They are an established company in a huge industry, nothing more nothing less.

Claiming the gaming industry would be non existent without nintendo is like saying music would be dead without UMG. Its bollocks. Industries of all kinds change and evolve. There's always gaps in markets and new players. Nintendo are just established. Im not knocking the company, im knocking the cult of followers that think there would be no industry without them.

I understand what your saying but there is nothing wrong with having a cult following, actually if apple computer didn't have a cult following they might have very well have gone bankrupt in the late 90's before Steve Jobs returned to literally save his company from the ashes and bring it back to the billion dollar company it has become today.

Nothing wrong with a cult following at all, infact game franchises like Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Punch Out, Metroid, Yoshi, they have become near and dear to many a Nintendo and even non Nintendo lovers hearts over the years, and yes have developed quite a "cult " following.

Now is it because of those games that i say Nintendo saved the industry? no, they happen to be the one that took a chance and invested an idea in the gaming market at precisely the right time and in my opinion saved it from becoming a memory, while at the same time giving birth to alot of beloved first party franchises that alot of us still adore and love and look forward to, to this very day.
