Please help me. I love Wii, i wanted to let my mom buy it my whole life. Now since I'm first in my class, I had the chance to, but 3DS suddenly came in, and I said that she buy me that instead. She's going to take a trip far away, where she plans to buy the 3DS from a trusted company, Datablitz. Now, I could change her mind easily if I just say she buy me the Wii instead, since it works for our box tv and it's pretty cheap, and could come with games too. I loved the footage of Just Dance 2 on Wii, along with Pilotwings Resort and FFIV on 3DS. What are your suggestions?

Out of those two I think I'd probably choose the 3DS to be honest.
It depends on what games you are looking for and what seems more appealing to you. Are you able to test them at your local shop? That could give you a better idea.
Also the wii has better cheaper games now don't waste your summer waiting for good games to play.PA_DUTCH
SSFIV and DOA are already out. Ocarina is out in a week and a half. Resident evil is out about 2 weeks after Ocarina with Starfox and Kid Icarus shortly after that. Others I am looking forward to are Blazblue (dunno when its out over here yet), Shinobi, Metal Gear Solid, Mario 3DS and Mario Kart.
I don't recall an instance where I've been looking forward to this many games on the first year of release.

Sure, the 3DS has those games coming out, but the Wii has several orders of magnitude more already out.
I'd go with a wii. Their are tons of great games you can buy on the cheap and classics via VC.Or you can drop $250 on a handeheld for a bunch of ports you can get cheaper else where.

Or he could wait for the NGP. Or the NGP 2000. Or NGP 3000. NGP 9001. Or maybe the NGP Go. well the reason that's less likely with the NGP is because it includes much more features than the 3DS, since the 3DS was somewhat rushed and incomplete especially since it lacks a second analog stick
I would get the 3DS because it actually has a future ahead of it, Nintendo's console always die a slow boring death with 3 games if you're lucky being released in the last year... then again I am biased because I haven't enjoyed the Wii really, if you have a long list of games you want it could be better for you.

Hmmm i would say wait and see what nintendo are gonna bring out next since you've waited all this time anyway. The 3DS doesn't have many good games yet and wont for a few months so either wait or go for the wii.
Hey guys thanks for all the quick replies. I've decided on the Wii for now. It works on box tv's right? We got a big one with A/V Jacks I guess. I also heard about the Wii HD coming out tomorrow?
3DS. It will have great games soon, just like the DS did. Don't let bitter fanboys fool you. The Wii is cool but there will be announced a new one soon.
Think you should go with a psp. The psp 3000 is the hotness and way better than a 3ds. The 3ds is yet another gimmick for nintendo to get people to buy their garbage. I have a wii and a ds lite. Don't get me wrong nintendo is cool and all. But, they release hardware like me going through tiolet paper. Their a dime a dozen. Go psp you won't be dissapointed.

Sorry I sold my ps3 and bought a blu ray player. Due to the fact that I never liked the games on it and the psn network disgusted me. I like my psp for a handheld but, ps3 disgusts me. For a console I'll stick to my xbox 360. For a handheld I'll stick to my psp. Everything else is downright garbage hot garbage.

to each his own , but since ps3 and xbox360 share the best games anyway the difference cant be that big imo ... have fun playing whatever u like , thats always the best choice ;)
