Should Capcom give this series the HD treatment?

Yet another reason why the Gamecube was awesome (yes, they did eventually come to PS2, but still). I would love to see these games get the HD makeover. So underrated and unrecognized in a lot of greatest games lists. What do you think, SW? Would you buy it? I know I would.

Nothing HD from them until Onimusha HD collection.

They are to busy making 4,000 slightly different Street Fighter 4 games anyway.

@SolidGame_basic: I own both the games on GC and PS2, I'm a huge fan of Capcom, Kamiya, and these games. As far as Viewtiful Joe 2, the GameCube and PS2 versions were developed simultaneously and feature the same content. Viewtiful Joe 1 for PS2 was a port though from the fancy GC original. The series was intented to be exclusive, but the sales couldn't justify it, much like RE4.

One really cool thing that I enjoyed was the PS2 port of Viewtiful Joe included Dante from Devil May Cry.

It's funny, I called for an HD ports/collections of Viewtiful Joes, Maximos, and Onimusha games in the past.

Does Capcom have the dosh to export a certain commodity from Croatia? I'm all but convinced that HD graphics for HD remakes are a rare Croatian export and that that Microsoft is the only company rich enough to buy that export.

I still own the first one but hardly played it. Sure did love the style the game had, that's for sure. Maybe I should get into it someday.

Viewtiful Joe 3 would be more appropriate, but I doubt Platinum would make it for them. And I don't want current day Capcom on that series because well they have been rubbish lately.

But yeah I'm not against a remastering of the VJ games on PC. Those games are excellent.

I would like to see that happen. Never got to play the first game, but the second one was great.

I'd say yes if Capcom was still a good company that employed the people behind that game.

That game is essentially the 2D equivalent of the Batman Arkham games. It just feels so good to beat the crap out of everything.

Viewtiful Joe is much much harder though. It's so good.

Surprising these games haven't been re-released on anything after their initial releases on Gamecube and PS2. I'd bite for a PC or 3DS release.

**** yes, absolutely. Would love an HD update of Viewtiful Joe (**** 2). It is still one of the best and most fun Action games ever.

I would love to see a new generation ragequit once they reach Fire Leo.
