The sales they get tell them otherwise. People vote with their wallets and their wallets say, "yes give me one every year please."

I stopped caring for AC post Brotherhood. Unless I see some major shift, these games are full "rent or massive steam sale" territory for me.

I've enjoyed the series as a whole so I'm willing to see what the new game brings to the table.

Ubisoft should give this series a break for 4-5 years. That's what I'm doing, anyway.

Hopefully it's better than Unity... Just couldn't get into Unity.

I absolutely HATED the last one. It was easily the worst AC game. It was a complete broken and poorly designed piece of shit.

...but despite all that, I'm still excited for a new Assassin's Creed. The ideas in Unity were sound, it was the execution that was terrible. If they screw this one up, I might lose my hope for the future of the franchise.

They release these games so often now that I'm not even sure which game was the last one. Was it Unity or Rogue?

These are so boring now.....

It's nice to know I'll have some decent PS+ free games later, as I pass on this aswell.

Rouge was actually pretty good, but people were so focused on the bad AC game which came out at the same exact time.

@PurpleMan5000: Both. They released (more or less) at the same time. Rogue is the end to the "American Saga". Unity is the start(?) of a new one.

The only way I would buy another AC game would be if they ramped the formula up. No more chests sitting around the cities for only you to plunder. To earn money you actually have to do assassin side missions, instead of just running around to chests. They will also need to cut down on the repetition. Make missions a LOT more interesting, with branching storylines and consequences. Oh and it has be to optimised but look great, hoping they learnt their lesson from Unity.

Last time I cared about an AC game was.... never. AC games only has great visuals and cool parkour animations. Everything else isn't worth it.

That's my feeling too, give me London and i might just buy it used.

$10 bet Ubisoft put out a highly styled trailer + controlled demo and half the people saying they wont buy it suddenly change there tune.

Only reason I own Unity is because it came with the Xbox One. I loved Black Flag but Unity was too boring to finish. Unless Ubi goes back to the sea I wont be buying the next AC. Didn't buy Rogue either.

I hated how they moved away from Black Flag with Unity. From what I understand (I didn't buy Unity), they took so many things they did right in BF and put out a piece of trash. I would be so pleased if they allowed you to move throughout the British Empire instead of being stuck in London. British India or Hong Kong would be legit.

WOW im shocked
