Ryse is coming to the PC!

We all finally get to see what Ryse looks like on a real powerful machine. I'm very interested in this.

I know the game isn't that great but it does look good despite the shortcomeing of the Xbox One hardware. I think my GTX 780 should do fine at 1440p with this one.

Some glorious pictures courtesy of Eurogamer.

Already looking better. Cleaner image thanks to the 1080p resolution. Assets are probably going to be left alone. LoDing should be improved as well as lighting, shadows, and post processing. Image quality should generally improve thanks to more power on a PC.

Oh shit. Err, nah. Its all Crytek. Pretty graphics, shit story.

Scrap another exclusive from the Xbox One list.

Very Microsoft-y.

Oh God, the quarantine has failed!

Call in the airstrikes! DANGER CLOSE!

Perhaps I'm mistaken but I thought this was confirmed some time ago, I dunno but seems like the right move since its served it's purpose as a exclusive launch title for X1 and putting it on PC should help Crytek / MS with more sales.

That MCC exclusivity is looking a bit fragile now.

Would it be half the price?? because we now know it's shit and we won't be willing to pay full price for a piece of crap like this.

Now we will be able to see what power this game really takes to run. I hope they optimize it well.

Could be a great benchmark tool.

Any exclusivity on a Microsoft console looks fragile.

MS sales? Pretty sure MS Game Studio's don't exist anymore. Certainly not putting any games on PC.

I look forward to seeing what the game looks like without all the fog.

Thought they were the pub on this? If so, surely they get a cut.

hoping hermits will save them hahaha

ohh and scrap another exclusive XposBone game on MS wishlist LOL

#16 Posted by R4gn4r0k (16297 posts) -

After Dead Rising 3 and Below this is the third Exclusive Xbone loses to PC.

I'm hoping for QB and Sunset Overdrive to be next :D

OT: If they don't improve the combat system this will be a 5-10 dollar tech demo for me.

Hell most of us PC guys love a good benchmarking tool. :p

Yep, things like this convince me less and less to buy a second $400 console after last generation.

@Wasdie:

Probs buy it when it's dirt cheap on Steam.

Hoping this allows the possibility of Sunset Overdrive to make the jump too...go on MS

#21 Posted by chikenfriedrice (9884 posts) -

That really blows for the X1....but really cool for PC gamers....hell I will see how it looks on the PC.

So far he has been truthful. I like that.

Another crap game is coming to PC.

#24 Edited by parkurtommo (26476 posts) -

Since it is CryEngine, I hope Crytek can make not just a port but a proper scaled up version. Like 1:1 reflections on metal and really detailed geometry. Shouldn't be hard considering it is their engine.

No thanks.

I don't want to pay £30 for this shitfest. 4/10 here on GS....

#28 Edited by GoldenElementXL (2770 posts) -

Foliage king confirmed?

#29 Posted by Wasdie (49628 posts) -

Crytek is in financial trouble. Ryse was a huge money sink for them and they haven't gotten a return on that investment. It would be in Crytek's best interest to port the game to all platforms ASAP to try to maximize potential market.

#30 Posted by musicalmac (22902 posts) -

@Wasdie: I really don't think this is going to help their bottom dollar. There's isn't as much money in gaming as there used to be. It's hitting both the developers and the individuals that cover gaming. Clearly.

Trust me.. PC enthusiasts will buy this JUST to benchmark. It will sell good.

If it has a good price, I might check it out.

#33 Posted by farrell2k (5808 posts) -

Another reason why the xb1 is a complete waste of money vs a $500 pc.

#34 Posted by ghostwarrior786 (3877 posts) -

hahhahahhahahahahaha x1 loses another exclusive. lems are clowns think 3rd party games can never come to other platforms. also @b4x just commited suicide because the game that won that prestigious graphic award is now coming to pc and is defo going to be looking better hahahha this is hilarious

Scalebound on PC. I'll love you MS

I agree. Unfortunately for Crytek, they really should have made a better game. This is going to be a tough sell.

That's a pretty bold statement. Anything to back it up with? Everything I've personally seen points there to be more money in gaming than ever before, it's just much more diverse.

E3 mode on Watch Dogs is actually pretty good for that. So nah.

lol it still won the award on the X1....but yeah its going to look even better on the PC. I can't blame the broke ass Crytek for this.
