Rumour: Uncharted PS4 Collection Coming in 2014

One of my favorite franchises from the 7th generation, hope this is true.

Sony Computer Entertainment has scheduled a collection dedicated to Uncharted, to be released at the end of 2014 on the PlayStation 4.

The Blu-Ray contains five titles, all remastered in order to exploit the potential of the next-gen consoles:

Uncharted Drake's Fortune

Uncharted Drake's Fortune

Uncharted 2 Among Thieves

Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception

Uncharted: Golden Abyss

Uncharted: Fight for Fortune

It would take a lot more than 1 Blu-ray disc, though. Uncharted 3 alone was about a 40gb+ digital download. I don't think there's been any sort of precedent for Sony or anyone else releasing a collection across 4 Blu-ray discs, but I may be wrong.

Why is it "lol" worthy? There are people who have missed the games and may have not owned a PS3

That would simply be way too soon.

If it did come, I expect Uncharted 1-3 in 1080p with 4 X MSAA and 60 fps, which would at least be a huge step up from the 720p 2 X AA 30 fps on PS3.

I guarantee they won't. Uncharted 3 alone is 45 gb on ps3.

what does that xbox one line up consist of again? Please remind me because idiot lemmings keep making these lists that I swear have Halo 2 (a 10 year old game) on it in a field of nothing but multiplats and halo/forza/gears and are talking like all they have are new games.

Don't talk about repackaging when MS can't manage more than 3 revolving AAA franchises for an entire generation.

That would be really awesome, especially if they can get them all in 1080p at 60fps. That would be great.

I really hope that Sony does this for a few other game series. Sure they have PS3 versions, but the PS3 version can't easily be ported to PCs or emulated in the future. I would love for the classics to be preserved in a 1080p @ 60 FPS on the PS4 and then in the future have the ability to emulate them. Let those classics never die.

I'm not talking about emulation in the illegal pirating sense but rather years after the PS4 goes out of production as a way to continue to play these games. Hardware is not infinite and eventually wears out. If we cannot emulate the console to play the games in the future, those games could be lost to us.

good move.. all of the xbox fans that jumped on the PS4 bandwagon would be able to experience a great series.. something they never got to do on the 360.. bless their little hearts

You really want to act like Sony didn't repackage a bunch of PS2 games for play in "collections" on the PS3? And if the Uncharted rumor is true, seem to be repackaging PS3 games for replay onto the PS4? Hell we know they have already done Flow, Flower, Dead Nation and others. So again Sony is the master at repackaging it's games. God of War Origins, God of War Collection, God of War Saga, Uncharted Collection, Ratchet and Clank collection, Jak and Daxter Collection, Sly Cooper Collection...etc....etc....etc..

Hm...... Idk how i feel about this. I love Uncharted but I already have 2 copies of U1 and 3 copies of U2.

And I played the hell out of all three games so much, im not really all that interested in playing through them again for the 20th time.

I do want me some U4 tho.

This is great news for people like me who never own a Playstation 3.

That's nice, it will make it all the more obvious you are playing the same game except with different stories and set pieces.

If they somehow pack all 6 GOW games I'll be happy as hell.

As much as I love those games I really hope that's not true.

I don't think PS now is trying to replace older game ports, just another supplement. I sure won't be using PS now..

HD remakes only make sense if the original games were NOT in HD.

Such an overrated franchise. Drakes Fortune was easily the worst third person shooter I played last gen. That game is so fucking dull and repetitious, you'd have to be out of your god damned mind to find any enjoyment in it. And then there's Uncharted 3, which can barely even be considered a video game.

@Master_ShakeXXX: The third game really did have way too many dull repetitive fire fights. Too many "walking because it's art" moments. And the "twist" in the end betrayed a moment I truly felt sad about.

Among Thieves is a fine piece of gaming. Shame the ps3 trilogy ended with a thud and not a bang.
