An reliable source has confirmed that Microsoft is going to have at least one "big" third-party exclusive reveal during their stage show. We don't know the exact game, but our source said the game is both something "unexpected" and "something people will be really excited about."

Additional rumour info to further convolute:

• It's not: Home front 2, New Red Dead, New Resident Evil, or New Mass Effect
• Game or franchise has been off the radar for a while
• Said to have a level of importance to Splinter Cell: Conviction(what ever the **** that means)
• MS could have more than one third party exclusive
• If it is more, or just the singular, it is heavily hinted that it will be a timed exclusive.

Big Third Party MS Exclusive? Nobody has to have their ear to the ground to pick up on that, MS already stated last year they had like 15 exclusive third party games that were in the works or something like that; to say "oh they'll reveal one at E3" is expect.

@mems_1224: Because "big" is probably something like Mirror's Edge. No 3rd party is handing an already extremely successful IP to Microsoft when Xbox One is well behind and sales and falls further behind each month. Plus the Souls series are not as niche as you might think. Demon's Souls sold 1.6 million on PS3 and Dark Souls did around 2.5 million last numbers I saw maybe more. Those are not blockbuster numbers, but it isn't niche either.

This is why it's good to own all consoles, you get the best games and don't have to worry about missing out.

Considering that there are over 80 million 360s and PS3s sold plus way more PCs, 2.5 million is pretty niche.

You aren't missing out judging from my experience. After two weeks I didn't play it anymore. It came out of the oven too early and I am a sufferer of FPS fatigue way before this gen started. It's fun for what it is, but there are other options for online play I prefer over it. Perhaps TF2 will fix my problems with this half-baked first entry.

Meh, unlike some Sony fans, we're not gonna get excited over rumors. But if it's GTA or Red Dead, that would be a megaton. How long it'll be exclusive is another thing though.

Not only that, but it will run better. There's really no sense in buying an inferior version when you know the better version will eventually come to the console you own. There's plenty of other games to play and time flies by when you're having fun ;). I'm glad I don't have to beta test games on Betabox One. so the other console gets the best version.

Microsoft already lost E3 and this generation. What do they have left when PS4 has the better multi-plats and the better exclusives? Halo and Gear can only take you so far...
