Rumor: Halo: MCC, Sunset Overdrive headed to PC

Sources are claiming the Halo: The Master Chief Collectionwill be making its way to PC with Windows 10, alongside Sunset Overdrive. This announcement is claimed to be occurring at the next big event for Microsoft -- Gamescom.

Microsoft has already teased new announcements for Windows 10 and Xbox One when they revealed that their E3 line-up was "jam-packed." The tease was sidled alongside the announcement that Quantum Break, Scalebound, and Crackdown have been scheduled to appear at Gamescom, but the announcement had a tease specifically for new game reveals at Gamescom.

The individual who shared this information is known as MTW, who was apparently the same individual who leaked Halo 4 multiplayer footage prior to its release.

Sources for this rumor have not been revealed and the individual who was told does not feel "confident enough in it to say publicly" when the PC version of Halo: Master Chief Collection will release. If this rumor proves to be true, the Master Chief Collection will have Azure-powered user-controlled dedicated servers, 4K resolution support, will be controller only and "more."

Apparently, this caused a bit of an upraor among some XBone users but it's not like PC is getting Halo 5 anytime soon even if MCC does go to PC.

Well when they announced Fable Legends was cross play, they said there would be other major game franchises from Microsoft Studios coming soon

The fact that Gears of War Ultimate Edition on PC doesn't support cross play is a travesty.

I can see Sunset Overdrive, but Halo seems like a huge stretch.

I know they're trying to sell Windows 10, but I'm sure they haven't given up on the Xbox One completely to make such a move.

My gods, if that happens, it means.... Microsoft are still giving the pc ports, and not actual pc games, nothing will have changed, and the world will have still turned.

How is halo:mcc on the PC a sign of "giving up" on the xbox one? they profit from both

does it matter? halo would be amazing to see on pc again, I don't see the fuss, it's still exclusive cause you can't play it on ps or nintendo, and if true it would probably only be compatible with windows 10

Hell, I got the SO X1 bundle. Not upset at all if true. More people need to play that game.

Also good promotion for Halo 5 that is only on Xbox One. Yeah you might say that might be going to the PC too, I doubt its going anytime soon. Look how long it took Halo 3 to finally be on the PC. ;)

PC is the big winner. They get Shunmue, No Mans Sky, FF7, and tons of other games from Sony. They also get tons of good games from X1. Sounds to me like people should be going PC instead of one of the twins.

Yup :) Seems like Sony & MS are happy as long as the games aren't on the competitors system. Finally realizing console/pc are completely different demographics so why not release it on PC for extra $$$.

I've never seen this many "console exclusives" that also come out on PC at E3 before. It's much easier to port over games now too. Since consoles have a very similar architecture to pc's this gen.

Damn, lems can't catch a break. At this point Xbone won't have any exclusives left by this time next year lol.

Please please please. Only game I want from Xbones lineup. Dont really want to buy a one since it is so similar to PS4.

I don't understand why it would cause an uproar??? As an Xbone gamer I couldn't care less if PC gamers get it as well. How does that affect me? Weird.
