IMHO Crysis 3 was the best FPS I played last gen, and yes, I've played the 1st crysis. IMHO Crysis 2/3 > Crysis 1

Is this even a question? Everyone who played STALKER knows that STALKER is best shooter last gen but 95% gamespot users are console owners and never played STALKER. If they played it they would vote STALKER.

This game was Amazing and had many other FPS' copy it's style. Spent 1000's of hours on it and only left it recently. Great game

single player for me was bioshock.

the multiplayer game i played more than any other the entire gen was battlefield 1943.

I clicked STALKER first but then saw FEAR and thought I changed it but the vote went to STALKER.

STALKER - wasn't just a different version of every other shooter at the time.

I voted for Bioshock.

STALKER and Halo 3 don't even deserve to be on that list. STALKER because of the almost non-existent story, average gameplay, and massive amount of bugs even when you installed the Complete mod, and Halo 3 because every aspect of the game lacked imagination.

Stalker by far. .Best gameplay best gunplay and best atmosphere. Bugs aside (which most of them are gone in latest patches and after installing complete mod ) the greatest fps since the days of Blood,Hexen,Duke Nukem and quake.

Seems COD4 is catching up to stalker. Killzone 2 got pulled back after being pretty high the first round. 2nd round will be ending soon.

In FEAR when you threw a grenade or shot a wall the whole bloody area was just dust and fog lol it was awesome

Playing that game for the first time on PC was mindblowing, and only 2% of the community have voted for it...

I played Borderlands 2 for over 400 hours so that's wins by a mile. Deus Ex: Human Revolution wins for quality.

Yes I played them all....yes most of them suck ass. Most shooters have been horrible for a long time now. We need a large surge of GOOD centered TPS's. Thank god H-Hour is coming. :)

Stalker is pretty good though.

My vote was on F.E.A.R.

I only played it for the first time 6 months or so ago, but it has aged so well in that time, and it does a lot of things shooters today still don't do (i absolutely love the smog and debris in the air after a big firefight for instance)
