No idea, I couldn't find anything on Wikipedia so I guess not. It wasn't really a hit in Japan though, with only 40 episodes(According to Wiki) it wouldn't seem smart financially for it to be a game when it wasn't accepted as a series.

I would like to see Capcom make a DMC-sty1le hack'n slash out of it. Or give the rights to a western dev. and make an RPG out of it so that the gamer can utilize each of the 5 armors.

Meh, sorry to crush those nostalgic feelings but the series was Saturday morning tripe. Not a bad premise but implementation stunk to high heaven.

in your opinion, this is not factual since the main series spawned 2 seperate mangas and a few OVAs, so it must have actually been good if people wanted that, implementation was great in the series of shows it was straight forward and was completed at the end, it had no confusing twists which we see in many anime these days.

P.S: and the action figures which i used to have all of them NRFB.

True, in my opinion. But then to go and say it must have been good because of sales spawning two mangas and a few OVA's. Come on don't play the sales or popularity equals good series game. No, that just meant that someone wanted to make those and saw enough profit or appreciation to warrant the making. We have many a bad manga and anime that sell very well. Just like video games ;) But come on, truthfully do you think the series deserves any praise for anything other then the premise? The animations are reused Ad nauseam, dialogue is worse then Speed Racer, and the characters and story are extremely shallow. It was all about the action and because of the cheap animation it didn't even do that well. Sure, you got some cool stuff like the armor of inferno but when he does the same attack (Same clip shown over and over in every episode the armor is used in) it got old.

Its an 80's cartoon, what do you expect? They probably had no budget what so ever on top of the limited abilitys during the 80s.

The only anime I ever saw was Ninja Robots. So awesome. And so cancelled after a single season

True, expectations have risen a great deal but that's not to say that Ronin Warriors wasn't trumped by Anime even before it's release (Technical aspects mind you).

I can tell you've not watched much anime besides popular ones, but i can say this if you believe ronin warriors wasn't good then you believe pretty much 99.999.9999.9999% of all anime was that way and guess what? it was, Back then you rarely if EVER saw an anime worth while or that didn't reuse scenes...ect And speed racer wasn't good? sorry but speedracer is one of the most underground critically acclaimed old anime there is, Which is why we now have an feature production being made out of it.

We can condense down your argument into a few parts, you seem like one of the regular anime elitest that probably believes if its not evangalion then its crap, and just because you dont like it doesn't mean we aren't allowed too but its system wars and thats not suprising but the simple fact remains Ronin warriors was a good anime it has many many fans, and the arguments you've put forth so far means you must hate pretty much every anime ever created since it is still common practice on even the highest cost anime productions to reuse cells and sometimes entire scenes.

if you really dont like ronin warriors and such then why participate in the discussion, nothing you've brought forth said any thing about this game not being made into an next gen game, we still like ronin warriors and still would like a game to be made out of it.

But i guess i should give up my fandom of the ronin warriors series, OVA's and mangas just because you say its supposedly not technically sound.

My favorite line from Ronin Warriors...

"Your eyes they burn, and your vision is blurd! Now you are as blind as the bats in those caves!"

Ah such epicaly awesome bad dialogue made me love the series so much.

I still have 3 toys from the show, in Latin America they were called Samurai Warriors. I still have the Red guy with the Red and White Armor (here it was called Hector). I have the Green one called Cesar and the orange on called Tristan. Loved that show. But Saint Seiya imo was leagues better than this

Woah woah woah....haha, boy have you got me wrong so leave out the assumptions and bold faced lies. 1. No, 99.99% of anime was not that way. Yes, animations were reused but the same ones for 39 freaking episodes is a little much. And there are quite a few worthwhile anime from the 80's. 2. I never said Speed Racer was good or bad as a whole, just that it's dialogue is epic awfulness. Looks like you misunderstood what I was trying to say there. Understandable as I type with the proficiency of a 5 year-old. 3. I don't really like Evangelion, it was too preachy and convoluted for me. Not to say that it is bad in any way. 4. Too lump every anime together as such because of a little reuse of cells is going overboard. There are differing levels of use. Generalizations am bad. 5. I'm in here for the same reason anyone else is....to put in my two cents. It was brought up and I would prefer not to see a game about Ronin Warriors. 6. The technical aspects weren't the only problem with the series.

Well, I think there should be a game. Ronin Warriors was a good show. Sure the animation wasn't that great, but what do you expect? IT WAS AN 80's FIGHTING SHOW!!! It's going to be a little crappy. Especially when the characters move extremely fast! Back then, they weren't so good at that. But that's not the point! The storyline was good, character development was awesome, I mean... they need to make a game! And one with an original storyline; and NOT "Talpa's back". Do you know how hard it was to kill him? Hmmm... A new enemy, a new storyline, and new characters! Custom character creation! The original ronins would be characters, but they'd be there as teachers. That would be sooooo awesome!!!

Sorry for resuming this old topic... BUT... me and a couple of italian friends and fans of Ronin Warriors have found a project in which we are creating a Windows game about Ronin Warriors :-) If someone is interested in following us, you can find the site of the project here: http://www.ronindream.altervista.org I think we will soon be able to release a demo with a good number of chars and bonus stages, so stay tuned for more news if you want! ;-)
