Link shows yet another PS4 gamer enjoying over an hours worth of Knack.

I agree reviewers need to relax, Knack is a nice old fashion style platformer with next gen graphics.

A nice break from the serious, gray scale, gritty, bloody serious shooters.

I bought it myself, but between gift cards and my $10 off coupon i got it for only like $13 out of pocket but it is worth the full price, it's incredibly fun to play and a pleasure to watch.

This is definitely the one time bad mag and site reviews should be ignored, it's a Sony classic platformer, think about it, the creator of Crash Bandicoot doesn't make a bad platformer.

My brother really digs it. Shrug. Seems like a love or hate. Just the other day I played Heavenly Sword again and I can't imagine why that franchise wasn't given a sequel. Some games are under rated.

Played it for about 5 or 6 hours yesterday. I really like it. Its simple but also challenging at the same time. Very under rated.

Incorrect statement alert. Knack is in the same vain as games like God of War or the old Ninja Turtles for SNES. 'Tis no platformer.

And I get the feeling it's a poor beat em up in comparison to most, but nothing should stop anybody from enjoying it. That's really all that matters.

No he produced the games and was a designer on 2 and 3. I wish people would stop acting like games are made by one person.

The game has scored low all across the board that is true. And sometimes people can convince themselves of anything. (Like the people who claimed they could play LAIR with those awful motion controls.)

And sometimes when you buy a new console you'll enjoy what's on it even if the quality is subpar.

Same here! I think Sony should purchase the right and make a new game base on it!

Go into any Game store and play the PS4 kiosk, Knack demo is on there, play it first and then come and tell me you hated it, since your obviously making your biased comment by the reviews you've seen....and not by personal experience with the game.

I think i might pick it up once it drops in price, i watched Yoshida stream it a few days ago and it actually looked pretty fun plus the human characters remind me of Astro Boy. Only concern is it could be a bit repetitive. If it sells like ass there's a decent chance it might make PS+ too in the future.

I'm sure you can find some people that liked Lair and Haze but would anyone else think those games are good?

meh, my gaming time is too valuable to play low rated games. 7s or 8s maybe if the genre interest me, but a 4? Nope, not going anywhere near that, even it is was free. And that's just the gamespot review. This game is getting really bad reviews from all the sites I trust most. 2 stars from Giant Bomb, a 4.5 from EGM, 4/10 from Eurogamer & 1.5 stars from Joystick.

fair enough, people think reviews are all that matters, but i have enjoyed many games that got bad reviews.

the lesson here is people can enjoy what they want, and nobody can tell you what you can and cant play.

I played the demo at a Gamestop yesterday and it was really bad. The combat was so bare bones and simplistic and the graphics were far from impressive. Despite the bad graphics, it still somehow manages to have a choppy frame rate

It does make it good to those people... I'm glad not everyone follows review scores blindly and can decide for themselves what they like or not.

I continue to hear about this. People all over GAF and Reddit say it's a great game. I've watched a few streams and Twitch and the co-op mode looks pretty fun.

Uhm wow. So a video of one guy enjoying Knack suddenly means that everyone else's opinion is no longer valid....what?

Knack is a bad game imo, I only played a little of it, but from what I saw it was overly simplistic and often clunky in combat and movement. It doesn't do any one specific thing well at all, nothing stood out to me.

Thanks so much for posting that video. I just finished watching the whole thing and wow the game is a lot better than what the reviews say it is. And not a single slowdown in sight, which leads me to believe those people that said it dropped to 14fps were clueless gamers that didn't realize the game went into slow motion during a kill hit. Either way, this video just put knack back on my "to buy" list.

But unfortunately some people will skip on the game because of scores and will perhaps miss out on something they would really like, fortunately there are a lot more ways than scores to determine you will like something or not. Like demos or gameplay videos.

Some people like it, some people don't. It's a very polarizing game. There was an interesting article on Polygon about that. The writer was talking about how much he was enjoying the game and trying to convince others it on its merits...before realizing some people just won't dig it.

It needs to have a demo so that people can decide if it's their thing or not.

I got it for my Son to play and have really enjoyed it.

@chikenfriedrice: actually a lot of people like it that actually own the game. People streaming their content of the game like it a lot. Also when I was at midnight launch there were a number of people looking forward to it.

The messed up thing is the people bashing it on sys wars have never played it. I haven't either but I am not going to bash it.. That would be juvenile...

LOL i love this....it's like being in on the best new secret of the PS4 and no one realizes it......but because some snobbish reviewers who haven't played a good action platformer since Super Mario Galaxy or Ratchet & Clank turned there nose up at it, everyone is going to dismiss it.

LOL whatever your loss, i just finished playing 3 straight hours of it, and it just gets better and better, don't take my word for it, by all means go and try the demo on the PS4 kiosks first, don't spend the money until you try it...if you're even the slightest lover of platformers or action games, you will enjoy playing the demo.

Exactly what happened to me, i bought my PS4 with Killzone Shadowfall, and i also downloaded the free shooters from PSN ( Warframe, Blacklight Retribution, Resogun), and i was contemplating getting Battlefield 4 next, but didn't really want yet another shooter, so i came across that video on Youtube and it made me reconsider and pick up Knack, and i have not regretted it one bit.

That's good for you but you need to stop acting like your opinion == fact. A majority of reviewers didn't like the game, get over it already. Play the game because you like it but stop trying to tell people the reviewers are wrong because you disagree with them.

I have a feeling this game is a lot better than many let on. Would pick up whenever I get a PS4.

That is the word around the net, those who either don't go by reviews or just read them and get what they want anyway because they rather see for themselves, have picked up this game and start raving about it, and i'm just another one on that band wagon...it really is a great game.

I can't take threads like this seriously at all.

You paid over $400 for a system along with the price of the game. I would enjoy even the worst game imaginable if I had to pay that much.

Play through it again in a few years when the PS4 has a steady library of games, then see if the reviews are "wrong".
