It was a good game. The best thing I can say about it is that it's not Resistance 2. I really don't get the point of having all these crazy weapons and then go: However, you can only carry two.
So I'm glad Resistance 3 went for a weapon wheel and dropped the regen health. The MP wasn't as good as R2, but I always played this series for the SP anyway.
Also, it had a weapon that sucked enemies into a black hole = amazing.
@mems_1224: Fair enough on that point, was using it to play Super Meat Boy today and it was hell.
If you can play it though, it's a huge departure from the awfulness of the first two
The First 2 games in the series were good titles... R1 had a decent sp campaign and good online... I admit R2 had an average sp campaign but its mp was great (8 player Co-op was so much fun)... R3 in my opinion balanced the good the 2 previous titles offered..
Personally would love to see R4 on PS4 or maybe a new FPS 'series' !!
@GreySeal9: what? DMC and bayonetta are nothing alike besides being from the same genre. Bayonetta combat is great but floaty while DMC is more ground based. Playing one does not devoid playing the other when they are so different from one another when it comes to combat... I love bayonetta but nothing still surpassed DMC combat for me.
@slaves: true. On SW people who havent played it will just think : "oh, a PS3 exclusive so it must be an interactive movie" -_-"
As much shit as people give to Resistance, R3 online campaign co-op and R2 MP co-op (8 players) were absurdly fun!
Were they amazing games that'll be remembered as classics 20 years from now? Not really, no. Were they fun games, despite their shortcomings? Yeah, they were. In the end that's all that matters, at least for me.
- Resistance was good
- Resistance 2 was mediocre with horrible graphics
- Resistance 3 was fantastic with a plot i enjoyed much more then the first two.

I didn't say they were the same. I'm just saying that DMC feels boring after Bayonetta.
That being said, I could probably still get into some DMC3.
Never played it.
I bought Resistance at launch and thought it was mildly enjoyable. Bought Resistance 2 and regretted the purchase almost instantly. Never gave 3 a chance.
Insomniac dropped the Resistance franchised.
They pretty much dropped it after R2 but had to do R3 becuz of their deal with SONY.
They were shutting down the Resistance devs as they were making the final Resistance game. R3 didnt really have much support after the day one release and they didnt seem to care about it after its day one release. After only a year they shut down the R3 servers (as well as the R2).
Insomniac went straight to EA to make their new games; FUSE and Sunset Override.

Honestly lots of games feel boring after Bayonetta.
Here is Bayonetta a game with excellent game mechanics and terrific gameplay, well thought out boss fights, and a bunch of stuff there to master a players genuine ability to learn a game and beast at it. And then here are other games: mind numbing hogwash parading themselves around as something superb, when they are shallow as **** whose saving grace is that they could still be shittier and be a Bungie game.
I remember playing it for hours on my friends PS3. Its alright...Never about it was amazing by any means.
I thought R2 and R3 were good shooters made great because of the weapons.
Definitely fun to play through and experience.
They arent to the level TC are making them out to be or as bad as some people say but they were great and i never got bored while playing like i did with Killzone 2, 3, and SF
I really wish Resistance 4 wouldve been a launch title instead of Killzone
