The story follows a character named Major Kane, as he embarks on a mysterious mission to investigate a hatch of unknown origin on Earth’s moon. Moon Chronicles will follow an episodic model. Season one is a remake of the original DS game and will follow the pricing structure listed below.

Episode 1: $8.99 (contains chapters 1 - 4 + 6 VR Missions: ~4 hours of gameplay).

Episode 2 (as DLC): $1.99 (contains chapters 5 - 8: ~2 hours of gameplay).

Episode 3 (as DLC): $1.99 (contains chapters 9 - 12: ~2 hours of gameplay).

Episode 4 (as DLC): $1.99 (contains chapters 13 - 16: ~2 hours of gameplay).

SOURCE

It's great to see that Renegade Kid is supporting not only a genre that is criminally underrepresented on the 3DS, but also a new distribution and pricing model that doesn't get enough love on handhelds at all.

I will definitely be looking at this game, and be picking it up; what about you guys?

Episodic. Oh, joy. /sarcasm

Being said, not bad looking if you ask me.

Looks good, and about 10 hours of gameplay for $15. That's a good deal. I really need a 3DS.

Plus look at the difference between the DS and 3DS versions!

I didn't buy my 3DS to play bad FPS games. I'm not gonna even consider this game.

Is this the sequel to that crappy DS FPS that had moon in the title or is this new? Either way it looks bad. DS control and dual screen mess up the precision and tight controls.

Two threads on this topic, but I see this is the original.

Hopefully it gets decent scores...not a fan of FPS on handhelds, but we'll see.

I don't like the way Nintendo handles digital content at all so I'm not sure I'll ever play this.

Not feeling that and the controls are a challenge I'm guessing.

I think you guys don't understand...If you played the first Moon game then you would know that Moon is more a clone on the old Doom style FPS. There is all the hidden areas, there the puzzles of finding where to go to next, and so on. Which for me, mad Moon is one of the best FPS I have played in a long time. It also was the best controlling FPS on a handheld. I love this game, even got the preorder fig for it and will buy the remake of it as well. This was unexpected news and has made my day.

Gameplay from the first one.

@killatwill15: Indeed it was. I used that screenshot for a reason. A legend. One of the very first FPSs I ever played.

Cool I guess. Not a fan of any portable shooter though so it's a pass for me.

I remember Moon, fun little game.

Not really feeling the concept of buying over half of the game as DLC though.

Just making it SW worthy folks, no need to lynch me :P

truly the best looking handheld game out there. Amazing how close it comes to PS3 Killzone games.

Interesting. The original on DS really turned me off because of it's horrid graphics but this looks much better and I love controlling FPS games with the stylus; it's the most precise way of playing next to KB/M.

I really enjoyed the Dementium games on DS (never played Moon though) but damn, those are some shitty ass graphics when compared to the likes of Killzone Mercenary.
