Remembering Killzone 2 with Incoming Shadowfall

Wonder Woman reminisces.

"With the coming of Shadowfall, it was time for me to replay Killzone 2 again. I am reminded now, why this game remains the greatest fps of all time. The visuals and sound obviously the first thing that smacks you upside the head, but the Helghast ai, the enviroment, the guns and gameplay. No other fps submerges you so totally as KZ2, and soon, Shadowfall. SW agrees, so now sound off!"

"No shield here, mortal. My indestructible bracelets suit me well."

Really liked the SP. Rico sucked, Radec owned.

Loved the MP.

"Rico.....guuhhhh Rico. But Garza? Hell yes. And Radec....oh yeah....Radec."

That final battle though, ugh. Such a small room, and then I wondered: is this it ?

Still I really enjoyed Killzone 2&3, it had great gunplay and some awesome weapons.

I beat the game in the hardest difficulty, and the final battle was such a pain in the ****.

I remember being concentrated over 20 minutes, Radec could come and with a single knife make you restart the whole section. Loved the tension, and Radec. The mp and its changing objectives is what I really enjoyed from KZ2, so much fun back in the day. And I am not a huge mp FPS fan.

@Giancar: I remember that well I beat it on the hardest too. Luckily there were plenty of checkpoints. My toughest times were getting into Radec's palace and that battle with both Sniper & Rocket Launcher troops. Deadly combination.

PS4 really only has Killzone for it's launch exclusive line-up, but I'll be damned if I said that doesn't look good. Definitely an improvement on the PS3's launch line-up but you'd almost have to be trying to screw up your launch to do worse than that.

The fight right before the visari/radec hideout was crazy tough. Endless spawns of enemies and an ATAC. Beating the final boss on the hardest difficulty took me.... some time

I would prefer to not remember killzone 2.

Yeah it had some stupid difficulty spikes whereby you could die all of a sudden.

Now that I think of it: Killzone 3s final battle wasn't that good either, though it wasn't frustrating so that's a good thing. Killzone 3s last level was pretty nice however.
