Remedy Entertainment or Naughty Dogs?

Remedy have yet to make a bad game, Naughty Dogs made Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (subpar and poor when compared to later games) and Jak X: Combat Racing (hugely underwhelming, a far cry from the goodness of the mainline series).

Alan Wake and Max Payne vs Nathan Drake and Joel whatever-the-cunts-name-last-name-is

Silly thread, Remedy has yet to make a "bad" game Uncharted was AA lol the same as Alan Wake so I guess Alan Wake was bad as well lems smh.

At the same time Remedy has never made a record breaking GOTY winning, universally AAA certified (MC), industry smashing GOAT lol get rekt.

Out of the games they make, I have only really played the first Max Payne, and the Last of Us. Max Payne was fun, The Last of Us, I did not finish, stopped playing after about three hours. So I'll have to go with Remedy, especially since I'm looking forward to Quantum Break and not UC4.

Alan Wake is much better than Uncharted 1, your breath reeks of shit if you disagree. Max Payne was GOTY winning, AAA-yadi-ya. Much better and revolutionary than TLOU and Uncharted combined.

Factually speaking, Max Payne is better than any Naughty Dog game, everyone in the world agrees.

Sadly, while Max Payne is superior, Remedy lapsed into repetition; Alan Wake being (essentially) Resident Evil with a lack of enemy variety, location variety, puzzles interesting characters (unless man in puff jacket counts) and other bad things that are bad in nature.

Max Payne - while repetitive and also taking place in the largely the same enviroment, had such fun gun mechanics coupled with an engaging moody story, it was irrelevant.

Of the two developers, Naughty Dog has been consistent in quality, while as a sole product Max Payne is at least 86 times better.

Crash Bandicoot & Jak & Daxter >>> Nathan Drake, Joel, Max Payne, and Alan Wake. Just my opinion of course.

At least I had more fun with Crash and Jak & Daxter than any of these other series.

The first two Max Payne games were good for their time, but now they feel dated compared to Uncharted and TLOU. And Alan Wake isn't anything to brag about. Sorry, but Naughty Dog has a much better resume.

I don't see the big deal with Alan Wake , the prase comes mostly because its a Xbone exclusive.

Tough question, I liked Alan Wake and American Nightmare, I'm pissed they really didn't follow up with Alan Wake like they should have. Even if they were to reduce it to episodic American Nightmare style sequels I'd much prefer that over this long wait for a new game.

I didn't care for Uncharted 1-3, I thought they were so overrated I didn't even bother with Last of Us yet, but damn I think they're gonna bring me into the fold with Uncharted 4, that E3 demo was amazing, when that happens I'll give the definitive Last of Us a shot on PS4.

As for Remedy now, Quantum Break looks to have potential, I'm not all sold from what I've seen of it yet thus far. Let's for the sake of argument just say it's a cool game, I still don't think it's gonna have the impact that a Naughty Dog game on PS4 will have. Plus, Naughty Dog will probably release several more games before Remedy releases whatever they release after Quantum Break.

While Remedy had me in the past with their two Alan Wake games, I have to give the future to Naughty Dog. That's for me anyways. In the grander popularity contest Naughty Dog wins hands down.

Its Naughty Dog for sure. Jack and Daxter, Crash, Uncharted, The Last of Us. It's an easy choice. But Remedy isn't bad either.

Max Payne 1 & 2 are better than any Naughty Dog game ever: fact. Look it up.

I like them both. But ND gets their games out quicker.

Though I love Naughty Dogs work, I consider games like Alan Wake or Max Payne to be the pinnacles of their genres.

Agreed, although Max Payne 2 was arguably lacking on the story front.

For my money's worth Max Payne 3, (Rockstar) was mostly a better sequel let down by one or two shitty on the rail sections.

Max Payne 1 and 2 are better games than anything Naughty Dog has made as far as I'm concerned, but Remedy didn't exactly follow Max Payne 1 and 2 up strong. Alan Wake was repetitive and barely above average, Quantom Break? Looks presentation wise, but the gameplay looks fairly dull.
