Hmmm....I want RDR, but I might still be able to get ahold of RDR + Undead Nightmare for cheaper than this. I'll keep it in mind, though.
$40 would have been the sweet spot.
I was barely able to force myself to finish the game the first time, so no real interest in doing it again.
Cool for people who love the game though, I guess.
This is when all my waiting finally pays off! I get the game and ALL DLC for one low price!
and I get the PRE-ORDER BONUS too!
Will it be good this time? foxhound_fox
It was flippin' fantastic the first time.
I don't think there's ever been a game I would truly call 'mature' in both story and storytelling, to put alongside film and literature without shame. That was until Red Dead came along.
[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]Will it be good this time? sts106matGame of the year edition dude. game of the year.
You can have a GOTY edition if any old publication gives your game GOTY.
Game of the year edition dude. game of the year.sts106matYeah... I didn't think so the first time. What did the DLC add to make it THAT much better than broken and boring?
Undead nightmare was a great add-on that added a pretty long alternate single player mode and a bunch of MP features. I didn't once thing that RDR was broken or boring, it would appear that you are in the minority.sts106mat
A lot of people thought RDR was boring.
Correction. A lot of gamers thought RDR was boring. I think RDR is one of the first games to ever be squeezed of all video game geekiness. GTAIV started it, and RDR pretty much completed the process.
R* made a game for the core demographic without having core demographic elements. There's no chainsaw bayonets and copius amounts of blood. There's no 22nd century space odyssey to kill ancient robots with obligatory sexy blue alien girls. It's just about a guy trying to rid himself of the past and get back with his family, almost literally. That's some film festival junk right there, not video game geek nirvana.
I love Red Dead. I never finished it because I got the ending spoilt for me and it broke -__- but I did get to Mexico and from what I played I still think it was amazing. I may buy this but there are so many games coming out ...

hence: Fable 2 Goty (lol) Left 4 Dead goty (lol!!) and Gears of War 2 goty (loool)I already have all the DLC and have beaten the game several times. I am also full prestige with the Zebra and everything, this is really the ONLY game I'm good at online, besides Unchartd 2 :P . Which is strange considering how this game is NOT friendly to beginners at all, basically people will hunt you down and kill you for no reason, even if you run off to Mexico they will still follow you.
Still a great game but this GOTY edition doesn't offer me anything since I already own everything lol. If you haven't picked this game up (and shame on you if you didn't) then the GOTY edition is perfect for you.
Also I'm glad they FINALLY patched the glitches, especially that stupid god mode dead-eye glittch with the knife. That was getting SO annoying, SERIOUSLY!
Feel free to add me anyone , I play this game like all the time.
Will it be good this time? foxhound_foxlol says the guy who thinks driver san fransisco is GOTY 2011 LOL

I own all the DLC already but I'll pick this up - just cause I love the game so much...
Oh and to keep this thread System Wars-like:

I know that's a bullshot of the PS3 screen, but was the PS3 version that bad compared to the 360?
I played it on PS3, but yeah I'd pick it up on the 360 if that's the case
Cool for people who want it... but there's no way in hell I will support Rockstar by buying one of their games with my own money. (I borrowed RDR.)

GTA is a frustrating mess, and RDR's best part was shooting, and the ending sequence. Aside from that, not much good in it. I have never been impressed by a Rockstar game. they are extremley overhyped, especially on this site by the reviewers.

Not just this site, a lot of professional critics.
Like I said, R* games don't go down well with gamers.

I heard there was clippin' and frame rate issues... I own a 360, so I have no clue if they were fixed or not.
