Q: howmany xbox360 you had and broke?

I'm still on my first 360 5 years later.

I had 4 RRODs and 1 E74 (Jasper did NOT save it). I was also the person that broke the E74 news in SW and that was before it was covered by the extended RROD warranty. At the time, users were saying they never heard of it, so there's that.

I currently am using 360 slims as I always had more than one 360 in my home at all times. I would link my original SW E74 groundbreaking news thread, but it appears it was purged due to age, but there's this.

I sold my first 360 (which was a premium) to buy an elite. The elite got an e74 and then red ringed 2 years later, but the it fixed itself the next day when it red ringed for some reason.

I went through 4 of them. But only 2 of them had RROD. 1 Had PSU failure, and the other had DiskDrive failure.

Only one. Didn't take long for me to get it back. It still works fine, but I don't use it anymore.

It scratched my GTA4 disc.

I had 1 rrod and two that had DREs.

2 or 3, I forget. I had an Elite forever (still works), and i've had a slim for around 3 years.

Got one in 2008 and it never broke on me. Sold it recently so maybe it'll instantly break for whoever buys it.

My 360 never broke. Still have the one I got over 5-6 years ago.

2 of them broke, the latest one is still kicking and running though

my launch 360 burned out after 3 years and the second one is still going.

2 systems over the course of 9 years is pretty good.

i play a lot of games.

i went through 2 ps1's and 3 ps2's over 5 year periods so the 360 was way more reliable for me than any sony system other than the ps3.

Buy a warranty. Also, did we really need this thread?

my 360's never broke. I upgraded to a slim but I sold a perfectly working fat one. had a ps3 ylod on me and one of them had the disc drive fail while call of duty 3 was in it.

Still on my first one, but then again it marginally collects dust so it hasn't had much of a chance to fail.

Broke two, am on my 3rd which i got back in 08 and its still working fine

Traded in my original 360 for a slim after a couple of years, my brother gave me his elite when he upgraded and it worked just fine until it was stolen. Got a new matte slim a few weeks ago. So that's 4 360s and not one failure.

Pieces of shit I swear. I'm glad a friend gave me the third one for $20, because I wouldn't have gotten another one otherwise.

One broke on me.

First one was a launch Xbox 360 that failed in 2010 to the RROD. The refurbished unit they gave me was traded in when the Xbox 360 S released in 2011. Still have the S unit and it works perfectly.

Launch 20 gig still runs to this day, Elite *first unit with hdmi* E74'd was fixed within a week and a half and the charge for repair was refunded, halo reach slim still running.

Launch 60 gig ps3 hdmi port died purchased new hdmi port and used launch system and worked with friend to replace hdmi port of mine and I kept the used unit and sold him the original launch unit, that used unit died last year paid 130 to have it repaired.

2 dead. 3rd is the newer black console. had it for about 2 years now.

Im on my 4th 360 since august 2006 havent had rrod since 2009

2 died. Original Slim is still going strong after a thermal paste change.

My brother has went through 6 of them , 2006(RROD), 2007(RROD),2008(RROD),2010 (E79 error) ,2012(slim)disc drive, 2013(slim)disc drive.

All of his friends have been through at least three.

Still on my first which is used unit I bought in 2010.

Had one PS3 die on me due to the Bluray disc drive dying. Couldn't get it fixed easily because it had some super rare drive that was no longer in production. Got really unlucky with that one...

On third. First rrod, second E74. Gotta wonder how much all 360 failures inflated the sales, peeps rebuying, getting a new from warranty...

Considering the age, well it was expected.
As for the ps3, I'm on number 6. I gotta say the fat model is the worst one.

seems to have smaller chips which is good. Because it helps with the heat issue that the fat one had.

I specially like the getting new from warranty as though Microsoft counted those units. *rolls*

One system since Christmas 2012. Hasn't been broken yet.

4 breakages, all on the 20GB model. Then bought an Elite which has been fine. I'm sure the install base was inflated by a decent amount; although I did buy a 2nd PS3 after going through 2 60GBs.

Good Lord, early 7th gen consoles were fucking atrocious -_-

2, Had a launch Premium that i traded (still working) towards an Elite when they released, that Elite is still working, though very very dusty.

I had 4 X360 consoles. 3 of them got the RROD and my last, the 4th I traded in towards a 3DS.

My first two were repaired by Microsoft and my third was bought from a shop (Microsoft ignored me)

I went through 2 core models, both broke down with RROD.

I managed to sell my third core, after the second repair (or rather swap since since they returned one with a different serial number), and bought an Elite which now has DRE's all the time. Of course this one is out of warranty for a while now.

I've had my first one - 20gb premium one - working flawlessly from June 2008 to November 2011 until it RROD'd FUBAR. Then I bought a 250gb slim model the month after and works perfectly fine.

Only one. Still works great after 5+ years.

Most people I know that purchased a 360 around launch had RROD. So did I.

You have 2 xbox 360.? NO wonder your 20GB model still works.

My answer is 4. Three of them had RROD and the other scratched my discs to the point of making them unplayable (it completely broke my ME1 disc)

My launch Xbox 360 is still working just fine.

I've got two xbox360's and they still work. One is over 5 years old and the other is about 3 years old. They're both old non-slim versions as well.
