Way to choose some of the ugliest PS2 games vs. some of the best looking PSP games, why not compare Daxter to a game like Shadow of the colosus, or Final Fantasy X or XII? Or Metal Gear Solid 2 or 3? Or San Andreas? This thread fails.catlin_czirr

If you're comparing Daxter to SoTC, you might as well compare it to Gran Turismo; they are NOT the same type of game.

Wow... thank you for using the absolute worst PSP screens you could find. For one thing, R&C looks far, far better than that screen you posted. Here's a real screen...

And besides, it's been said in countless reviews that GTA: VCS looks better than Vice City and almost as good as San Andreas. As for Killzone vs. Coded Arms, a launch game... get real. And GoW: CoO, Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow and FFVII: Crisis Core pwn all of the PS2 games you've used anyways.

Ps2 has the edge, but what you should be making threads about is how psp, a handheld, compares to a normal console...

The psp clearly has better graphics because it has better graphics then the wii and the wii has double the graphical power of the gamecube wich was more powerful then the ps2. You see my logic is flawless :roll:cyprus646

MHZ isn't the all might number that makes an absolute determination on a CPU's performance, there is no one number that does this. For all we know 299MHZ PS2 Chips could outperform a 360Mhz PSP chip.

but the PSP has a 90nm MIPS R4000! its supposed top be better than the PS2 chip!

Amazing comparison. For all intensive purposes, they're the same. PSP looks amazing: indisputable. PSP is comparable to PS2: indisputable.

PSP, in some cases, even looks BETTER than PS2: indisputable.

PS2, in some cases, still maintains a serious edge over PSP: indisputable.

If you notice, for instance, in the OP, in the Star Wars LEGO images, the PSP has slightly crisper visuals, however it is jaggier, the reflection on the floor is absent, and the textures are lower quality. The PS2 version looks better in most ways, overall.

However, with the introduction of the 333MHz PSP, we should be fine and dandy (firmware update). I think the PSP could finally step ahead. Still, that leaves all the early titles at a disadvantage and, of course, it's still running at a lower resolution.

God of War is a step in the right damn direction, though. Wow!

Depends on the development. GoW on PSP looks to be very comparable to the PS2 version.

Wow you fail to compare GTA, BOTH OF THE GTA's ON THE PSP WERE PORTS TO THE PS2.

So therefore it will have the same exact graphics.

true, there are a few games that look as top notch as they do on the PS2. though if we switch to the grand scheme of things, there is no question with which one is superior.
