they'll split that large screen into two smaller ones. Hmmmm....probably align them one on top of the other and give one a touch screen! Teh Innovation!!!
I don't think they'll change the dpad, because it seems to be a standard Playstation thing now. The square button could use some improvement though. I think it was a little problematic because it's too close to the screen.
now if the redesign can improve the joysick, the d-pad and the L and R buttons plus have a HD and better battery life and a couple more good games (god of war already helps the cause) i think i might grab one. Oh and be affordable, am i asking for too much?
I heard that they will be going away from the "gaming handheld" and more towards a "handheld media console" I have no link just something I read on another website, not sure where.

Agreed, give it better ergonomics, more battery life via smaller/more power efficient chips, a lower price and more/better games (like recently announced GOW + Castlevania X) and I'd buy one.

hahaha if this one is 200 bucks core package...how much will the new one cost ?? 249 ?? or the one that is out right now...comes to 149....the new one for 200 ??? naaaa :shock:

Well I personally wouldn't mind a fusion of the D-Pad and "Control disc" like they have on one Colecovision controllers for instance, its much looser and responsive than any D-Pad I've used. Heres a link to the image if you want to see what I'm talking about: 8002 Digital Controller PSX
all they had to do in the first place was make two analog slider thingies and it would have blown the ds away. you could play some great fps if there were two of those analog things, but NO. they only gave you one, and it isn't even on the side you usually use to aim.
