Sony has always been far more popular in Europe. This gen around, MS dind't have a the cheaper, more powerfull console. Reverse this, and it's natural more US and UK players would gravitate to the Playstation.

Outside of megatons like Halo, Gears, Gran Turismo, uncharted, etc, most casual users don't know which games are even exclusive.

And no, Sony will probably only get lazier. it's what companies do. Whatever. Makes not having to buy either potatos easier

Saw someone say they sold 80 + million units of software (games) and that the respective ratio is now ~4 games per console on the PS4. Can't find the numbers though, so take it with a grain of salt.

Regardless, it's pretty impressive. It's now (finally) fallen behind the Wii but that's nothing to be ashamed. It's still the 2nd fastest console ever at this stage of it's life.

-Second Son ended up being the most restrictive and short Infamous game of the series.

Nearly 20 million in sales on hype alone. Man, Sony hit it big this gen. Hopefully they come up with the goods soon or there will be lots of trade ins.

We all honestly thought Xbox would easily walk away with the crown after Xbox 360.

I know two people that have traded in PS4's for an Xbone.

Assuming they can maintain their rhythm, they could possibly reach ~35 million by the end of this year. That's a loooot of consoles in 2 years.

I'm not even considering a price-cut since I think Sony will delay it as much as they can if they keep selling like this. A price cut could increase that number or just help reach it.

I know five people who have traded in Xbones and bought multiple PS4's for different family members including themselves, some even a couple per house hold.

You see how that works?

Probably 3-4 million. Numbers might be a bit less than the ps4's because of the xbox one's weaker presence in non western markets.I'm basing this off what they have sold since september. November and december combined might be anywere from 2.5-3 million.
