Just a little ditty about a PS4 you don't know so well.

In one hand you will have people trying to play numbers (1080p,60fps, 50% more power)

On the other hand you will have games running great and looking fantastic, getting the best next gen experience.

Which hand are you in?

#2 Posted by Gatman32 (441 posts) -

Sounds about right. I don't get why people that want consistent 1080p/60fps won't just buy a gaming PC. That's the only place you will get it.

Weren't the same dips in FPS found to be a concern on the X1?

It is well-known that the XBone has stuttering frames even at 720p. Why the shit do you want this ownage again?

CoD: Ghosts on Xbox One Has Frame Rate Issues And Is The Main Reason Not To Buy says Ex IGN Editor

By Alex Wed, 2013-11-06 13:03 Video GamePS4Xbox Onecall of duty ghostsInfinity Ward

Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts suffers from nasty frame rate issue, according to Jeremy Conrad.
Conrad further went on to add that FPS drops from 60 to 50 FPS and is reason to not buy it (PS the 720p game has worse drops)

For those who are unaware of who this Jeremy Conrad is, "Former IGN Editor".
This means that not only Playstation 4 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts suffers from frame rate issues but Xbox One version as well even though it runs at lower resolution of 720p.

In another news, Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin in a recent interview to Metro stated that Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One and PS4 are identical to each other apart from resolutions at which it runs on both consoles i.e 720p and 1080p.
I use my PC for porn and Facebook. I don't care if it is having problems.

It probably is having problems because they ported the PS4 version to it.

X1 running like a top.

The PS4 version was done first since the X1 has received late hardware updates that caused development time to fall behind. I own the truth.

sucks your buying a "next gen console" and only having a slight minor resolution bump in most of the games compared to last gen, sucks the xbone is weaker, is heavier, thicker, cost more then the ps4 and still has a power brick.

maybe they should of actually called it the xbox 720, would of fit perfectly

Just a little ditty about a PS4 you don't know so well.

In one hand you will have people trying to play numbers (1080p,60fps, 50% more power)

On the other hand you will have games running great and looking fantastic, getting the best next gen experience.

Which hand are you in?

Looks like the PS4 will look better, but the XB1 version will play better. I guess 1080P isn't everything it's cracked up to be. I wonder if games like WatchDogs, ACIV & Destiny will have similar issues?

XB1 version is using Microsoft 10 week old Devkit engines, so I'm not surprised it stuttering and frames are dropping. CoD sucks anyways. I can't believe people are still playing that crap from Activision. The real Infinity Ward team is making Titanfall. The original members all left and went to Respawn.

I hope not. The CoD teams have gotten lazy by using the same engine 100 times and when faced with something new, just went to their knees. Bungie has a lot to prove with Destiny and I can see heart and soul going into it.

And MS with way lower GPU power in their X1 and less RAM GDDR3 isn't sacrificing to run all the BS on the X1?! Last I checked X1 was running a whole lot of crap that the PS4 isn't running and that no one cares for.

Think you should read through the thread :P All version are having FPS issues of some sort. The only difference between the Xbone vs PS4 version is the resolution at which they run. This isnt a matter of PS4 looking better but Xbone running better. They all run the same (shitty, if the frame rate issues are true), but the PS4 version looks better. So in conclusion, if you have to choose, go with the PC version. If that's not your cup of tea, or dont have a PC that can run it and can't afford one, the PS4 is the way to go.

#37 Edited by Wasdie (49927 posts) -

Of course they did. The only platform where devs don't have the make the sacrifices is the PC. On the PC you can always throw more hardware at games or turn down the graphics settings. Players make the sacrifice by either buying better hardware or turning down the settings, not the devs. On the consoles there is always a finite amount of resources to work with. Eventually you have to cut back to get it to run well. You would have to do that on any machine anywhere. You could even bring down the most high end PC built today if you ramp up the rendering enough.

This whole thread is kind of stupid. Consoles are not PCs. End of story. There is no point to be made here other than with finite performance you eventually have to make sacrifices. That's nothing new or revolutionary.

@FoxbatAlpha: This is no surprise, it's pretty common knowledge that BF4 looks better at a lower resolution on the XB1 than on the PS4 at a higher res.

I'm not chosing any version, because I'm not buying CoD: Ghost. lol!! i could care less which version looks or runs better honestly. The fact that the PS4 & PC versions are on more powerful systems, they should have less problems then the XB1 version. The Devs are terrible anyways and they keep using old engines to make their games.

but Xbox One version as well even though it runs at lower resolution of 720p.

In another news, Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin in a recent interview to Metro stated that Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One and PS4 are identical to each other apart from resolutions at which it runs on both consoles i.e 720p and 1080p.
Who cares? Just get the system that has the most exclusives that interest you and the one which all your friends will play.

Or get both and get the best of both worlds.

All versions of COD Ghosts are having issues. Hell, Total Biscuit was running Ghosts on dual Titans and having frame issues as well.
