with uncharted 4 earning rave reviews it's now obvious. the PS4 has finally asserted complete dominance over the current console generation not just in sales, but in games.

key points:

1. the PS4 has the most games with a metacritic score of 90+ (14 total)

2. even by gamespot reviews, the PS4 has the most games with scores of 9 or above

3. the PS4 library includes the most gamespot 10/10s (the witcher 3, metal gear solid v, journey, uncharted 4)

4. looking into the second half of 2016 and beyond: the PS4 has the highest-profile upcoming exclusives

• the last guardian
• persona 5
• horizon: zero dawn
• nier automata
• FF7 remake

PC at spot 17 metacritc score is 94 meanwhile PS4 has at spot 14 90 only.

It's getting better after a rough start, for sure. WiiU's library is inferior due to the absence of third party games but still has overall better exclusives.

And naturally the PC obliterates the PS4's (and any console in history) library.

..anyway. I believe the PS4 is finally beginning to hit a little stride with its software. But dont jump out of the window just yet. E3 is just around the corner.

I absolutely agree, inasmuch as I don't know much about PC gaming yet, so I will leave that out of the discussion for now- but if there was only one system someone could buy for this entire generation, I would recommend that they go with the PS4, without hesitation.

Best is a matter of opinion so, no, not for me, out of all the exclusive games PoS4 has, which in the final run is why you purchase a console, I only care about well, whaddya know ? KZSF ( yeah, I like it ) and now UC4, I don´t give a damn about the rest. Xj1 is pretty much in the same position for me, exclusive to X1 I have H5, MCC, SO and GOW UE.

There is no such thing PC generation like he claims that PC games only count 2015-2016 but PS4 count 2013-2016. You know that you can play older games than 2013, right? So fair would be to PUT ALL EXCLUSIVES AND ALL WORLD GAMES, NOT REMOVING 99% PC GAMES, IGNORES IT AND THEN CLAIM THAT PS4 HAS BEST EXCLUSIVES WHEN 99% GAMES THAT COMING ON PC ARE NOT EVEN RATED EVER NEVER ON METACRITIC

On consoles, I'd agree. I preferred the Xbox library for awhile, but R&C and Uncharted 4 pulled the PS4 ahead.

PC has the best library. Can't beat it.

WiiU wins for me (not counting PC here) but PS4 is starting to catch up for me.

Overall Wii U wins for me, but PS4 has some really strong games with Street Fighter V, Batman Arkham Knight, and Bloodborne. I look forward to picking up Ratchet and Clank and Dark Souls 3 to boot.

PC has the most AAAs this gen...that said it's just a low profile indie game simulator. Saying it has the best library is a stretch since the biggest non indie exclusive it's seen this gen is XCOM2....and not only is it rated Lower than Bloodborne, it not even AAA at MC

If your thing is having the most low profile indie AAAs the PC is the best for you.

For non indie high profile AAA exclusive games Wii U has the best library

For the best combination of non-indie high profile AAA exclusives, AAA Japanese support, AAA 3rd party support and AAA indie games PS4 IS the best library among all current systems!

The score is still currently 1/0/1 no matter how many spreadsheets you make.

PS4 has an excellent console lineup for sure... But when you own a modern PC and a PS4 you find out the library is not all that great. At least for my tastes.

Heck I have more Wii U games that I enjoy over PS4. Bloodborne was cool though (brutal loading times not withstanding), and I will probably check out UC4.

92 metacritic is a flop? And you guys who think UC3 sucks had unrealistic expectations for the game. After making one of the greatest action games ever no matter what 3 ended up like people were gonna bitch. UC3 was still better than most games that come out.

If only looking at consoles, then yes the PS4 is the best option.

The PC is the only system that consistently kills it with exclusives month after month, year after year. The consoles this generation it's often months of drought between games.

Let's get it out of the way that PC is the best.

It's also true that between the consoles, the library gap between the PS4 and Xbone has only been increasing since I got my consoles at launch 2013.
