Someone should do a list of PS4 vs Xbox One comparison for SW's sake

Not too surprising. Kinda follows current practice of the two.

You need a link bro... It would be great... But I didn't see an access door or them even talk about it.

I got alot of SSD's sitting around. Would love to stuff one in my PS4.

Pretty much this. It was mentioned in their first press conference.

Pretty sure MS already said you can add an external HDD.

Not only is the PS4's HDD upgradable, but will use the same kind as PS3. Which means you can use the one from a PS3 you already own if you want. Which also means you can buy really cheap ones on the internet with huge capacities.

They're 2.5 HDD, aka laptop hard drives.

Just add an external HDD?

#21 Posted by clr84651 (5364 posts) -

TC isn't lying. X1`s internal HDD isn't removable.

The question is where does it say PS4 HDD is upgradable?

He didn't give a link.

We already know about Xbox one having no upgrade option. Only an add-on solution.

At 500 gigs with external device support and streaming why would you need to upgrade your HD?

Because the x1 requires all games to be installed to the HDD, movies, music, pictures and a lot more. Games will take a lot more space this gen than last. That's why MS went with Bluray discs for high capacity.

nice, will be pimping my ps4 with an ssd.

Who cares? You can throw on a USB 3.0 HDD on both (or at least X1) and store your games there. USB3.0 is on par or faster than whatever standard 5400 RPM HDD these things are going to come with anyways.

I can almost guarantee you will be able to save most of that stuff to the cloud or streamed just like now. Anything else can probably be saved to an external drive again something you can currently do. A 500 gig hd is more than enough.
