PS4 graphics are pretty good - don't you agree?

Games like Mortal Kombat X, Bloodborne, inFAMOUS, and Project Cars look fantastic on the system. I'm personally excited for all the true next gen games coming out. Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted 4 are going to blow us away for sure. You gotta give the PS4 some credit, don't ya SW?

Not as good as Xbone games like Forza Horizon 2, or every PC game in the last 3 years.

No, it can hardly do 1080p, 30 fps is pathetic, i hate fps dips, jaggies everywhere and it takes forever to load anything. The only reason i even look at consoles is because exclusives.

I mean yeah, the graphics look good but nowadays graphics are good on pretty much everything. Even cell phones do pretty good graphics. But the point is the power of these systems is not where it should have been.

I suppose they're great when you're standing at the recommended viewing distance of a television set. Because of said viewing distance recommendation, the developers can afford to cut corners in graphical detail where they otherwise shouldn't when dealing with the recommended viewing distance on a computer monitor.

It's relative. Compared to last gen sure, but compared to pc it leaves a lot to be desired.

Forza Horizon 2 wouldn't even make the top 5 on PS4 and most pc games over the past 3 years look like shit so stop your hyperbole.

With the whole Xbox One bashing and resolution bullshit I see posted everywhere I would be extremely inclined to disagree with you. 1080p PlayStation 4 game and the same game 900p on the Xbox One and suddenly it's unimaginably important... It doesn't matter to console gamers when it negatively affects them, when the PC destroys them visually it doesn't matter, but as soon as something looks even remotely good on a console it's instantly the most important thing on Earth, don't patronize me like this is not a known reality.

But yeah, that 12x gpu increase from Ps3 to Ps4 isn't much, but the gtx 980 sure makes Ps4 look awful.

Thankfully, very thankfully, System Wars will never be reality. Millions of actual console gamers out there don't give one single **** about best graphics, because you know, they'd be PC gamers if they did.

solid tlel me which one you would rather play the ps4 version or pc lowest version? pc lowest versions hs better everything were talking about 400 dollar pc same price as ps4 were talking low settings beatin a ps4 with ease with upgradeable options

5x would still a bigger lead than the 980 has on Ps4. I thought PC gamers all knew this stuff?

It's actually a 8x increase over the 360 gpu, but it would be more so over Ps3's gpu, not 12x though. A full 7870 would be a 12x increase over 360.

@nyadc: Think of it this way: you probably know at least twenty actual gamers on a personal level, real friends/acquaintances not online familiars, that don't know what Gamespot or Metacritic is, who just enjoy games as a side hobby for a normal person.

They don't know that Ryse flopped hard, or that Adam Orth told gamers to "dealwithit". They just enjoy games like they do listening to songs on the radio.

No it did not, it was capable of 400 Gigaflops just like the article states, the Xbox 360 GPU was capable of 230 Gigaflops...

People will always hate on the PS4, but to date it's the only console which has proven itself capable of consistently outputting most of its games at 1080p. And yes, people are obsessed with resolutions here, but the truth is 1080p is the sweet spot for most television setups so it's a fairly significant accomplishment. The graphics themselves look good and will obviously only get better with time as developers continue to push the hardware. No, it hasn't been maxed out already; that would fly in the face of the well-documented history of developers who successfully extracted more and more out of console hardware as it ages.

I could reasonably buy either a PS4 or PC version of any game and wouldn't feel like I'm receiving a subpar version of a product. I'm not sure I would have that same confidence if I bought a 360, PS3, Wii U or even One version of the same game. That said, obviously I would prefer to get the PC version of all my multiplats.

Pick one.

P.S. It has peaked, this is x86 hardware, it's PC hardware, the limitations of it are already known and hit.
