My 670 GTX, which is a mid-range card these days, is much more powerful than the PS4.

How crazy is that. I remember when the 580 was the best GPU on the market and its no better than a 660Ti.
Yeah... these tech advancements are crazy, but it's not as bad as it sounds, as you can have a very pleasant gaming experience on a mid-range card.
This 670 of mine, at 1080p, I can max out just about any game with no problems while maintaining a stable and playable frame rate... as long as I don't use some highly demanding AA method.
That's why I tend to inject SMAA in most of my games, works well, with minimal performance impact.

Yeah idk, every time I see one of these threads I see new numbers and combinations for the PS4 but I always see the same numbers for the X1. Like I'm not trying to discount your point but you sit there and explain in depth one side. If you're going to do all that research, do it for both sides. Study OpenGL and DirectX. Figure out the depths of the X1 numbers. Having lopsided information is a dead giveaway that the person writing it is biased. And its cool if you are, just know you're not proving anything besides the fact that you like the PS4.
well said. If that is monstrous, what are high end PC's which will rape the PS4? If this stuff is important to you, ok, cool. All I care about is playing, and enjoying my games. I haven't been let down by either Sony or MS yet. Don't think the One or 4 will either.

AY: It depends what youre doing. GPU, like 40 per cent more powerful. DDR5 is basically 50 per cent more powerful than DDR3, but the memory write [performance] is bigger on Xbox One so it depends on what youre doing.
How is that going to translate to on-screen results for the kinds of games you want to make? So to optimise War Thunder on both consoles you could hypothetically make a better, prettier version on PS4?

32MB ESRAM + 8 GB DDR3 setup is not a general workload friendly configuration.
If there's going to be fast and small VRAM on the PC, it has to operate like a hardware CPU cache e.g Intel Iris Pro.
It would be LOL if X1's COD-G result is worst than my laptop's 8870M when it runs COD-G.
