PS4 gets Halo/Destiny while X1 gets Max Payne/Quantum Break?

Ok so first we have remakes everywhere for PS4 (the system so in demand even T-Rex's from Jurassic Park own one), then we have Bungie developing a Halo Clone for Sony, and now we have a Max Payne clone coming to Xbox One by the name of Quantum Break.

I was really interested in Quantum Break until I saw Gameplay of it from Gamescon. The trailer was great and the hype was good but then came the gameplay.

I then watched the gameplay trailer and was thinking is this a new HD Max Payne on Xbox? I mean the main character is a generic male with a dark coat that uses his power to manipulate time just like Max Payne. As far as other abilities, it seems that there are none just like Max Payne. Just find cover, pop up, slow down time, shoot, run to different cover, rinse and repeat. Sounds a bit like F.3.A.R. as well minus the First Person camera angle.

So is this gen so far on PS4 and X1 the gen of rehashes and clones?

I wouldn't just call it Max Payne yet. I mean, it looks like a cover based third person shooter.

Quantum Break looks really fun actually. Destiny is also on the X1 so i'm not sure what the point of this thread is exactly.

If anything, I find it looking a bit like Uncharted, because of how you can traverse the "battlefield". Movement seems smooth.

Quantum break will be coming to PC.

@nini200: Last generation and this generation are mostly rehashes. That's nothing new. This has been going on for years. Look at Hyrule Warrior (Dynasty Warrior) and all those CoD games. This is why games like Tearaway Unfolded, Gravity Rush, Splatoon, Rain & No Man's Sky peak my interest so much. Even games like Max and the Curse of Brotherhood & Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons were a bit refreshing if not completely original.

Is it not being published by MS?.

Edit: Actually now that i think about it, Alan Wake was published by MS so it doesn't matter either way. Here's hoping.

Erm, you know Destiny is also on Xbox platforms, right? Unless you were talking about some super secret game we have never heard of, naturally.

Destiny is on PS3 360 X1 PS4 and soon over later on PC

Yup, what was it a year later?

Destiny is coming out on every console and PC eventually (other than Nintendo) and has little in common with Halo other than art style so I don't see how Bungie is making a Halo for Sony. Destiny is more like CoD with the gunplay,ADS and quick kill times and more like Borderlands for overall design of the game. Furthermore, Quantum Break is obviously made by Remedy so it will have similarities to Max Payne just like TLOU has similarities to Uncharted. At this point I can't say definitely how different from Max Payne it will be because we've only seen 8 minutes of gameplay, but based on previews saying that it has an emphasis on using time powers for puzzles in the environment more than action itself and the fact that there are 3 different playable characters with unique play styles as well as a TV show tie-in I doubt it will simply be Max Payne HD.

@Snugenz: the difference is that Alan Wake is owned by Remedy even though Microsoft published it so it was Remedy's choice to put it on PC and they only did so more than two years after the original released. Quantum Break is published and owned by Microsoft so if it were to come to PC, it would entirely be Microsoft's choice. I'm not saying it can't come to PC, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

Well, the Xbox One gets both Destiny and Quantum Break, as well as a collection of Halo games..... No collection of Max Payne games though :(

With that said, I thought the Quantum Break demo from Gamescom seemed boring. Generic third person shooting action; something I stay away from. I'm more intrigued by the story, how you interact with it, and any possible detective-type gameplay the game might possess.

I'll be sad if it's 99% shooting gallery.

I'm seriously not seeing how people think Quantum Break looks like Max Payne. The shooting, the powers, the atmosphere, and art style are NOTHING like Max Payne.

I'm looking forward to Quantum, but the gameplay shown didn't blow me away. It looked like Max and Alan, but that's fine. It's Remedy, a decent studio but after Alan Wake I've adjusted my expectations. Good game but not the mind blowing game I thought I was getting. It's all good.

Also, lol at users who argued with me last year that Quantum was coming in 2014. The fanboys that kept listing Remedy's Quantum as a 2014 game over and over. Idiots. I tried to explain history, but here we are.

Destiny is on both consoles.

Yeah, as others have said I don't understand the point of this since Xbox One is also getting Destiny AND an actual Halo collection.

So TC are you saying X1 has the advantage since it's getting the Halo Clone, Max Payne clone and actual Halo???

Oh and Sunset Overdrive that game looks sweet but that's just Dead Rising with better movement right?

You do realize that Destiny is on X1 as well right?? I swear there are still Cows out there that think this game is exclusive to the PS4!! The X1 gets destiny as well as a great exclusive in Quantum Break. Not sure what the point of this thread was, but it fails miserably!!
