PS4 Average exclusive rating drops below Xbone

The Order: 1886 is sitting at a firm 65 Metascore. While this is a disappointment in and of itself, this score also has the unfortunate side effect of giving Sony’s rivals over at Microsoft something to brag about. This score (along with Resogun being added to PS3 and Vita) dropped PlayStation 4’s average exclusive rating to 66.43, a whole two percentage points lower than Xbox One’s, which sits at 68.66.

While it is still early in the review process, Metacritic has already piled up 44 reviews, and The Order: 1886 would have to increase by an improbable 16 points to an 81 Metascore to push the PlayStation 4’s average exclusive rating above Xbox One’s. CraveOnline, while not on Metacritic, gave The Order: 1886 a 60/100, saying “At $60, consumers expect something memorable, if not lasting. The Order: 1886 is neither.” Read more here.

Exclusive ratings in the 60's says all it needs too. AS of right now, both consoles exclusives suck.

The thing with metacritic is that it's composed of garbage review sites along side of credible review sites. Also when two different consoles and their games are compared on metacritic, it just doesn't equal up and could be lopsided since the number of reviewers reviewing the game differs and one get more reviews than the other. So one PS4 game could get reviewed by 33 reviewers while an XO game could get reviewed by only 5 reviewers so comparing the two just will never add up using the metacritic numbers. So that's why the GS SW metagame only counts GS reviews here. When you compare it using this, it shows PS4 is leading the way for current gen flops.

Well if they keep losing their quality exclusives like Ryse to PC it can only go up.

Sony should stop gambling and focus on top sellers if they want to appease metacritic comparisons, lol.

To win at metacritic, all Sony has to do is fire everyone except Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch and they win metacritic.

No, lol...because it really doesn't show anything. Average the good and the bad, and then average the good and the bad, and then compare. lol.

It doesn't matter if a company puts out 25 games and half of them are good and another company puts out 5 games and 4 of them are good. This averaging and then comparing would favor the company that puts out the least amount of bad games, not how many great games are released.

Exactly what I thought. I've never seen anyone who uses such comparisons who can explain to me statistically what any of this shows. Obviously because statistically these numbers show nothing in particular.

Yep, the comparison results are almost completely arbitrary and certainly have no real relevance when the good games are pulled under by the bad.

I love the Usual Suspects (I own two versions on DVD and two versions on Blu-Ray...different editions). I wish he had added The Order pasted on Kevin Spacey's head limping away at the end. Otherwise, decent and well done.

I liked his The Hunt For Red October spoof. I am not sure how many here have even seen that movie, but it's one of my faves as well and he did one for that. It's slow starting like this, but there is a massive payoff of lulz in the middle, hahahaha. (His Boned video is pretty good as well, but it's not a movie spoof).
