If there really was a huge amount of power yet to be unlocked in the Xbox One do you not think Microsoft would be saying this, even screaming it from the rooftops? They're suffering in sales in US...home turf. If there was something there we'd all know about now, but there's not. The PS4 is more powerful, that's a fact. Yes optimization will deliver better graphics over time but that's not exactly secret sauce.

MS needs to focus on delivering the games to keep up and that's it. No secret HSA no stacked chips, no secret sauce, just good games. You get it?

@I_can_haz: excellent. I own ADRs (do any of you know what that means, without searching it?) of Sony corp. I bought an Xbox one on Thursday morning and this is my first post since. Because I have been having a great time enjoying it. DR3, KI, and borrowed Ryse. Ruse isn't that bad, just lacks variety. But, that's easy to say when I didn't pay for it..DR3 is great fun. I am enjoying the crap out of it. But going from a game, to the semi finals in hockey, then back, between periods so easily, quickly, and without putting down my pizza is worth so much.

I know, right? Microsoft took notice of the single biggest problem facing gamers today ... not being able to reach the input button on your TV remote ... and came up with a really elegant solution in the form of a giant, always-on camera.

He owns a ps4, wants an X1. So asked for MGS PP as payment from bet. He, NOT ME, Tormentos, said, "I didn't want a new gen console to play downloadable, phone games". I am more than willing to put anyone in touch with Nelson. The X1 is a great console with great uses, and games. Let it go fanboys. The xbox one sold 3 million up to december 28,and January NPD showed that MS sold 143K in its best territory,there is no way that the rest of the countries sold 457,000 xbox one to round the number to 3.6 million,in fact in EU the xbox is bombing ultra hard.

Both systems have sold more units in 2 months then any other game consoles that have launched. Nothing wrong with that. Developers are happy with the numbers. Sony & Microsoft are happy with the numbers. That's all that really matters when it comes to sales. I care more about games then anything else. It seems each system will have some quality 1st & 3rd party games in 2014.

A price drop would likely help the Xbox One get more sales, combined with a big game launch (too late for Titanfall really, but perhaps around the winter with a launch of a game like Halo or another system selling type game).

I do feel if they dropped Kinect it would be a mistake as at that point it would be technically inferior hardware to the Playstation 4 and thus would loose a unique aspect of the console. Also it would fragment the hardware market and thus developers could not develop a Kinect only game (or a game that uses Kinect combined with the controller) as they could not assume the end user would have the hardware required to run the game. I think this was a similar issue for the Xbox 360 with the lack of hard drive with all units.
