PS4 and XB1 still niche consoles compared to greats like the ps2

PS2 was like when console gaming took over the world

I'm just not seeing the ps4 numbers being near ps2 yet in its prime i believe 150 million of those consoles were sold yes were 3 years in but its just not there yet.

Now were in the age of PC gaming a new king has come a new reign of pc master race.

i own more atari 2600 games than you own all games im not a troll ive been doing this hobby for a very long time I know a niche product when i see it ps4 an xboner are way behind the ps2 no amount of advertising is going to get them to 150 mill

The Playstation compared to the competition had built up an excellent reputation with both developer and the consumer. Both Nintendo and Sega deservedly lost the market lead for arrogance and incompetence.

The Playstation 2's success well before release was guaranteed. Although the Dreamcast had far better software, none of that mattered. Sony with it's good reputation, hyperbole about it's technical prowess and doubling up DVD player. It will probably never be replicated that success again.

PC on paper should be aclear winner, the problem is it's user-base. They simply do not buy games or support most developers as console gamers do.
