PS Plus gets you free Tv shows, yo!

Sony just made a proclo (TM). All my PS Plus bros get Powers for free. I know what yur thinkin. We aint talkin bout x-ray vision or burrito breath, but the TV show.

The PlayStation Network will be bitten by a radioactive crime drama series later this year; Powers, a live-action adaptation of the comic of the same name, will be available via the PSN starting in December, with the debut episode available for free. Meanwhile, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to view the entire series at no charge.

David Slade (Hannibal, Breaking Bad) will direct the first two episodes of the show, which focuses on detectives who investigate cases involving people with superhuman powers. The original comic, published by Image until 2004 and currently by Marvel, is written by Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy) and illustrated by Michael Avon Oeming (Judge Dredd, Catwoman).

Once again, Sony shows what gamers want more than anything. TV shows!

Your title is misleading, I think. This Powers series is Sony's version of Netflix shows like Orange is the New Black and House of Cards.

"PS Plus gets a new original series" would be a more appropriate title I think.

This was announced way back at E3 with tons of threads on the subject with the same 'TV oh noez' spin. I liked Sony's contribution in TV with TV shows likeCommunity, Breaking Bad, Hannibal, Justified, Robot Chicken, and Seinfeld, so I'm a-okay with Sony shows for many, many years.

My take on this older news of 'Powers', a brand new TV show, being free with PS+? As long as the PS+ discounts and free PS+ games keep flowin, it's all good if they want to sweeten the pot with a TV show I may or may not watch (probably will since I own a lot of Bendis works).

The PS4 got 12 PS+ free games ($50 service) so far and it's not even a year old yet. My Xbone has gotten 3 free GwG titles ($60 service).

12 free PS+ games > 3 GwG free games.

First i don't buy a console to watch shows. Second the only show i ever watched and loved is breaking bad, the rest are a joke.

I'd like it if Sony would make more than one exclusive game a year.

This tv show doesn't sell me on a $400 box with $50 yearly online fees.

Wow a few took my post seriously it seems. I was just making fun of the hate Xbox got with "tvbox". As for the whole mantra thing, if it makes you feel good I guess. I live in reality where none of these companies love me or anything but Profit.
