Suscription confirmed for PS Now? Also these aren't the final prices stated by the director. I would have liked a release date for PS Now for europe to be brutally honest. The lowest price is kind of steep for 4 hours alone. But hopefully they will listen to feedback on this during the beta

Those fees suck. $2.99 for 4hrs. Screw that. They definitely need a subscription base pay system. I want to be able to play all those games for a flat fee of no more then $75 a year. If they can swing that deal, I might check it out. I won't be nickled and dime with these crazy rental fees. $14.99 for 90 days. Bahahahahaha!! Screw you Sony!!.

good that the ps now saves are kept on a ps now cloud. (edit, this sentence is ambiguous, i mean to praise their keeping of the save files inter-rent. for a cloud service i guess they should be doing that anyway, but as this cloud streaming of games is new to me - i feel it's a nice touch and i'm glad they mentioned it)

Where else would the saves be stored,,, the system their end need to load the save so the only logical place for the save to be is on their own servers.

that's a fair criticism of my language there - i should have been more specific with my praise. he mentions the save being kept after the rental lapses, so if you rent the game again your save will be there.

Well you know Sony wants to make money on this, so if they are charging $2.99 for just 4hrs and $14.99 for 90days for just one game, you can believe that they won't do a $40 a year type deal. Sure, I would love that, but we have to be realistic here. It might end up more then $75 a year knowing Sony. Yes, it may flop if they don't get the price right. EA's will flop because they don't have enough games in the library. This is also EA's way of using DRM. EA will lose a mint if this service catches on, but I'm sure there are some large limitation they aren't telling us yet. There's gotta be a catch. $30 a year to play all their games digitally? It sounds too good to be true.

@blackace: I agree that there has to be something else hidden in that EA service but then again why wouldn't they offer their year old sports titles and other past games. Most people pick those up used so I'm sure EA would rather have $30 in their pocket. Them offering 2 hour trials of their games demos, and past games to play is pretty sweet deal right now for $30! Right now it's worth it for Madden, Battlefield 4 and Peggle 2 since I haven't played any of those games. Plus the demo and 2 hour access to SW:battlefront I'm in :)

Terrible price for everyone. TCHBO!! M$ will never copy this. They are working on a software emulation for the XBox and XBox 360 games to run on XB1. lol!! They are testing these games with Halo: Master Chief Collection on XB1. If ND can get "The Last of Us" to run on the PS4 with no additional hardware added, Sony should be able to get all their PS3 games to run on the PS4 without using PSNow. They just want more money with PSNow.

You know what's really funny I bought DS for 4.99 used and I can play it whenever I want. Not only that I think they showed you that old game because it's one of their cheapest, you might as well just call it a $3 demo. Here's an interesting question if you get the $3 demo and decide you want it for a week does the $3 come off your weekly perches?

The cloud won't be fully utilized until 2015 when Crackdown is released. Right now it's just being used for A.I. and Drivatar. M$ is still looking at streaming as well, but they said its flawed and the data transfer speed still isn't fast enough yet for everyone. This is why they were also looking into software emulations instead.

XBox One is still selling and make money. It still have lots of 3rd party and exclusive games coming out for it. Just because it's not selling as fast as the PS4, doesn't make it a flop. It's selling way faster then the Wii U did it's first year. It's selling better then XBox 360 and PS3.

How is it a rip off? You don't have to get the $3 rental... go with the $6 for a weekly rental... which imo is better than you would of gotten in Blockbuster video. Oh let me guess just because it's an option you people have to bitch about it? My god the internet is full of whiners. For $8 you get a months worth or 3 months for $15. Those prices are not bad for rentals.

The $3 rental could be good for someone who wants to try a game out for a very long demo before buying. Whats 3 bucks if it will save you $60 on a crap game you may have bought? It's also for people that have smart tvs and no playstation.

Now I will agree with everyone that a netfilx type subscription would be welcome... but the prices for rentals are not that bad. They can't give them away...even though that is what the internet wants ... :/

The service should have just been the ability to pop in a ps1/ps2/ps3 disc and have it streamed free on your PS4. Publishers are too greedy.

If you can't play them forever for a lower-than-retail price, I see absolutely no appeal here. And old games should cost no more than a few dollars. To own, not rent. This may be viable for some, but I couldn't be less interested.

Sony needs the money after all so I say $99 a year for unlimited streaming.
