I heard the creators (bizarre?) are no more, could someone else give the franchise a sequel it deserves?

I edited my post and added a link. A bunch of people from Bizarre are at the studio that is making the game.

Never played it. No wait, I did one race the first time I played on a 360.

Well some of their people were scooped up by Turn 10 (who I assume would be handling this).. And you see how well Forza/Horizon came out.. there's always hope.

PGR was criminally underrated and forgotten, 3 and 4 were so fun games. 4 still looks great today! However with Forza Horizon already on the horizon, I'm not sure if it could make an impact. I know PGR is more urban environment-oriented, but Forza Horizon is like PGR with Test Drive Unlimited sandbox-like world.

Meh.

Not a new IP.

I enjoyed PGR, but personally, Forza replaced it as my go to racing game. Unless they do something unuque with it.

So?

New IP does not magically equate to "awesome game". More often than not, new IPs are crap.

Agreed.. PGR is an established franchise. With this and the incoming Forza 5, there's no need to fret about Racers on the 720.

Eh.

I loved PGR on 360 but Bizarre was bought by Activision, their quality went downhill, their games didn't sell anymore and was then closed.

So who would make a new one ?

Lol, if Activision keeps closing their studios those will be the only ones left.

The IP belongs to Microsoft, luckily.

Playground Games did a smashing job with Forza Horizon.

balfe1990

Still need to play it. I heard it was more arcade-y, is its gameplay comparable to PGR ?

They'd be the best for the job.

The game will most likely be developed by Lucid Games, another team formed by ex-Bizzare people.

Is it? It has been a multiplatform title from its inception and the 2 first games appeared on PS1, PC and Sega Saturn, there was a N64 version as well and only from Wip3out which was disgraceful btw, and its soundtrack sucked monkey ass it only appeared on Sony consoles only...The only reason it remained a Sony title is the fact Psygnosis transformed into Sony Studios Liverpool, and what a horrible decision it's been!

I loved PGR racing 1 and 2 on original xbox.  I'd love to play something close to those for next gen systems.  motor club might be like PGR but I'd just rather them make a PGR title and include a team based feature on the side.  Who knows, maybe MS is bringing them back

I enjoyed PGR more than any forza
