Project Cars for WiiU is about as good as Dead.

That's what Ian Bell over at the Project Cars Forum has said and is why we have barely even seen or heard about the WiiU version since the delay.

I think it's clear that We're looking at a Project Cancellation.

Wasn't this version announced before the Ps4/X1 version? Wasn't interested in buying it on WiiU though, but shame for those that did.

If I were the dev, I wouldnt even waste my time. It's so racing focused in a console market that's typically found success from racing games based around car enthusiasm. It's likely less so on the Wii-U

Oh well. I wanted to get this on my Wii U just so I could have my first 3rd party game on it but guess it will remain exclusives games only.

I literally forgot the Wii U existed for a while there. First time reading about it for weeks.

Sad, Wii U owners basically funded this and in one of the devs' polls the Wii U was the platform that was the one most people would play it on; I feel bad for those backers now. Sigh... If only the Wii U was at the least, slightly more powerful than it already is...

Not sure why they even tried to bother trying to squeeze into the garbage WiiU hardware.

If were them, i wouldn't even waste time because even you do optimize it and get to 30fps, who's gonna buy the game? This is as pathetic as Watch Dogs WiiU edition.

Yeah if some of those funders were WiiU owners that is a shame for them.

If there's no 360/Ps3 version, WiiU ain't getting it. It's really that simple. If a game can work on 2005 Xbox hardware, it can work on WiiU. If a game is built for current gen, ps4 level hardware, there's miniscule chance of it being squeezed into wiiu.

The consoles are running a mix of low, medium and high already, with shit performance.

They'd have to drop it bellow teh lowest settings to keep a stable 30 frames.

I just don't see the game selling well the wii u anyway. Love mine, but it's for dat Ninty flavour.

Sounds like they lack the developer skills to get the job done. O well, on to the next project. I heard the game was geared toward Steering Wheel anyway, i dont think that will last long at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just decided to cut back things to get the game running at 30fps on the WiiU or ran it at sub 720P to get it to run at 30fps on the console at the end.Don't think they will give up that easily on that version.The guy does says later in the thread on the Project Cars forum that it may be possible to do this.

LOL Splatoon being the game to "save" you. If this is on Xbox or PS4 it's a minor download only distraction for £20. If it's on PC, LOL, it goes way under the radar, lost on steam like an RPG Maker game. It's a rotting piece of bread to a starving man, and so it tastes like a steak to you.
