Slightly Mad
Personally I think this is going to be the racing sim to play. Think of this release as the foundation of what will constantly be added too. There may not be as many cars or tracks as Forza or GT has at launch, but Project CARS will be expanded on over the years without having a sequel where you have to give up your car list or tracks.
The engine used for Project CARS is extremely impressive. The physics modeling is probably the most realistic available to consumers with each car being modeled in a variety of components rather than a single block with a subset of variables assinged to the whole thing. The assets are all extremely high fidelity and the rendering is probably the best I've ever seen in a racing game. Already there are thousands of photos out there people have taken that border on photo realistic.
Watching the 1080p60 trailer to see exactly what I mean.
I'm actually looking forward to this. I wasn't one of the backers of their project as I do not know enough about racing games in general to give them accurate feedback. It seems as if the project has been a major success.
Good news for fans of all consoles is it appears that Project CARS is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U as well as the PC. So I guess everybody wins this time.
