So hard to decide for the Wii U, and it really depends on the next year goes. But if they go at a decent pace, they'll hit 25 mil.

I expect PS4 and One to do quite well.

3DS I'm guessing will break the record, but this will be incredibly tough and probably a bad call on my behalf. Good luck to the system.

Too hard to say right now but nintendo dead last

No console will sell over 100million this gen. The console market will shrink and this will hurt everyone especially nintendo. Sony will do a bit better than last gen probably,MS will do worse than last gen and Nintendo will do significantly worse than last gen even though the 3DS will save them.

Here is my prediction

PS4:70million-90million(I do not think the PS4 will sell significantly higher than this because the console will be only attractive to the hardcores mostly and not the audience that fueled the Wii's and PS2's ridiculously high LTD numbers)

Xbox One:50million-80million(If MS plays their cards right in the next couple of year this console should sell near 80million)

WiiU:25-35million(The WiiU will probably recover in the next year or two, but it will not sell like crazy)

Vita:<15million(I really do not need to explain this.I would not be surprised if this handleheld sold less than 10 million when it gets discontinued)

3DS-70-80million(This handheld may sell more than 80million).

Are we implying that the gens end at the same time for both consoles? XB1 is set for the next decade whereas Sony may bow out sooner like 5-7 years and be head strong into their PS5 development. So overall for this gen XB1 will end up selling more by default as it's set to last longer.

I don't see the Wii U selling more than 25 million units in it's lifetime. The Xflop I am predicting 55 million with majority of sales in the US, will sell decent in Europe but PS4 will crush it. DOA in Japan.

PS4 will be dominating it will be $399 it will stay neck to neck but more Xflops will probably sell more in the US by a few million, SlayStation 4 will crush Xflop in Europe, and Japan it will sell great not high enough numbers of the PS2 but will be a better selling console than PS3 in that region.

Come back to me in 7-8 years and I guarantee my predictions will be right around that ballpark.

I don't think a gen is determined by a console continuing to sell. The PS2 sold well into 2011-2012 and I don't think anyone here would say gen 6 was still going.

We should get clarification on this. Anyone know what/if SWs has any rules regarding end of gen? We know when the start of a gen is but haven't seen anything regarding end of gen? I think, i could be wrong, the end of a gen is determined when the majority of consoles manufacturers launch the next iteration of consoles.

I am predicting an economic regression in console sales.

Oh absolutely, Timothy. There'll be an emergency price cut after Christmas and next year Donkey Kong, Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, X and Bayonetta 2 will be out. At the same time, Xbone sales will flatline after all the lemmings have got one.

PS4/Wii U is the perfect combo. Xbone? Tee hee hee.
