Polygon: Microsoft Bought TitanFall (Up: No they didnt)

So while the first game was always going to be Xbox exclusive, Polygon's Editor in Chief is now saying that Microsoft have bought the full franchise outright. They said this on The Verge podcast.

He explicitly says: 'TitanFall 2 is not coming to PS4.'

Looks like Microsoft is trying to make this franchise this generation's Gears/Halo.

Halo, Titanfall, if they just get Gears back for another sequel that will three major system sells on the XB1. I think they're going to do very well this gen.

That would just be the first one which is pre Microsoft's purchase. Who knows what happens to the games now.

That's only the first game, which is pre-Microsoft purchase (if this is true); the first game's publication would still be per whatever arrangement Respawn made with EA.

figures, Thats what M$ is known for - throwing their $$$ around buying exclusive rights and timed exclusive games/DLC since they dont have a creative bone in their body to create there own IP's.

Not a PC gamer. However, I can honestly say that "games are always best on PC, IMO". I am willing to trade the "best platform" for the console experience.
