POLL: Pokemon vs Monster Hunter

Two legendary system selling franchises, which can single handedly make or break handhelds, and which sell more systems than almost any other franchise. Two franchises, addictive in their grind and in the hundreds of hours that you can sink into them. Two franchises, which make and break all records upon their release.

It's as hardcore as it comes. 

Love Pokemon, Monstuer Hunter 3 is proving tough for me to get into, considering I've played about an hour of it in two years. From what I gather they're both extremely different.

But I've loved Pokemon since I was a wee little boy with my Pokemon Blue so Nostalgia will always make it better

Those two were annoying as fvck! I remember the first time I faced them - going up the bridge with those jackass archers was already a huge PITA, and the two were probably the first large challenge of the game.

Ugh, downloading Dark Souls again :o.

@TC: I prefer Monster Hunter, but Pokemon is definitely the bigger/more influential franchise.

Oh yes I'd agree with you there. Ornstein and Smough were tough tough tough. Awesome game though. Just awesome. 

Even though I played most of the Pokemon games since Blue my choice is Monster Hunter. Strange thing is that I actually really hated monster hunter(MHF1) when I played it for the first time.  I had the common complaints like having a hard time hiting monsters(no lockon) and it takes too long to use items. I end up ignoring the game and only played it when I was bored of other games. Eventually I put enough time into the game and got better and became a fan of the series. The number one reason I bought a 3DS is just to play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. I like Monster Hunter more but I still expect Pokemon to win the vote.

Pokemon by a huge landslide.
