Pes 2016 9/10 vs fifa 16

Pes 2016 has gotten 9/10 on gamespot. I completely disagree or it is they planning to give fifa 16 a 10/10.

For starters it has less licences and character models have rough edges that reminds me of previous gen (or even before that). It's quite obvious in the following video. Just look at the shoulders and some of the faces.

I know people are going to start about gameplay but I still prefer fifa 2016 gameplay

PES is for fans who actually enjoy playing football games, FIFA is for those who enjoy spectacle and high production values with dumbed down gameplay. This goes back to the PS2 days - PES was the true king until Konami stumbled last console generation, but now they seem to be hitting their stride quite well. It's clear OP isn't familiar with PES since user created option files add the kits, logos, and anything else you care about which totally negates your "lack of licenses" complaint.

Most of the comments under the video agree that the PES faces look more realistic than the FIFA faces. FIFA might look better for some faces here and there, but for most of the faces, PES looks better.

Having played the FIFA 16 demo yesterday I was pretty disappointed. I rarely expect much of a difference in gameplay from one year to another due to their one - a - year release schedule however I was pretty displeased at the lack of innovation this year. I think im finally going to skip a few years of fifa until there's a tangible difference between titles.

Also the ultimate team stuff really gets on my nerves. Its fun until you realise your friends just spend £££ on gold team packs to boost their play. FIFA 98 RTWC remains my favourite game of the series.

PES went down over the last years, and FIFA stepped up. PES fans keep grasping at "better gameplay" which isn't the case anymore, but they want to act high, and mighty since they are insecure about their favorite game. FIFA > PES

It's not just PES fans, but most reviewers last year agreed that PES 15 had better gameplay than FIFA 15. Nowadays, FIFA is the one that has stagnated and PES is the one that has evolved... It's like the PS2 era all over again.

PES is a vastly superior game.

The fact that you need to bring up licenses instead of gameplay proves that this is the only advantage that FIFA has over PES.

I guess the extra mode wont help Fifa this year. PES it is, on PS4 here we come.

Interesting to read the review and some of the comments. Particularly under the - where the reviewer states underwhelming character models. The character models seem to reflect their real life counter parts to a higher degree of accuracy than FIFA. (At least in the demo and the video above)

This year I think im going for FIFA for the first time since 2004. Every year I play both demo's extensively before making a decision, a decision which the last 3 seasons has been to not bother with either as they failed to excite me. However, this year's FIFA (for me at least) has a superior physics system with players feeling like they have some weight behind them, something which i feel is lacking in PES in this year, and the rumble feedback on crunching tackles in FIFA is nice. Additionally they have added the training mini-games which PES dropped dropped a number of years ago much to my dismay.

Will keep playing both demos a little longer, but for the first time in over a decade I may be switching sides.

The collision system and fouls are completely broken in PES.

You can hit the other player as hard as you want and as long as you touch the ball as well you wont get called.

One of the most fundamental parts of the game is broken.

Why do the character models seem to be such a huge factor in which game is better? You only see them at the start of a match or when theres a foul etc. Whilst you're actually playing the game you dont even notice what the players look like. On something like the wwe 2k series for example, this would matter alot more. But for either of these games it seems like a petty point to me as it has little impact on the game.

i was pro evo from iss days up until Pro evo 5 i believe, till fifa 08 became a better game. then i switched. Then i stopped caring around 2011 as I would rather play a game of football than online (although i did still buy FIFA to be sociable with mates, I just didnt really care for the game.) Then got FIFA 15 and a couple months later, bought PES 15. Preferred PES immensely. So think I will continue with the trend and PES16 for me :)

As if I'm going to listen to reviewers... I'll play it myself, and I actually believe that FIFA is still better at gameplay, and definitely more realistic. Since FIFA 15 they started to include emotions for the players, they can get angry if another player misses, or if the player is being selfish. You can see this in the animations, but at the same time it reflects in the gameplay when they have to make the decision to pass or not.

Where did you get that "4 times" figure from? In terms of overall franchise sales, PES was at 86.8 million and FIFA was at 100 million. Even saying "2 times" would be a big stretch.

@commander: Both PES and FIFA don't look that good imho. The graphics didn't improve at all from the past two years.

You really don't know anything about fifa do you? The most succesfull part about fifa is ultimate team. In the first half of 2014 fifa ultimate team had a revenue of 145 million (and this doesn't include game sales)

That comparison video is on PC right? cuz all of the hair textures are low resolution on PES2016 probably cuz it's on low settings.

Who gives a shit about faces in a sports game? They're only shown during cutscenes.... Sports games are about the gameplay. Just because you prefer one game to another on gameplay does not make it superior.

@commander: So licenses>Gameplay and modes and basicly the entire game? You do know you can download kits and rosters right? All the names are original except for the legends. Because EA has a monopoly on it. Besides going by that logic FIFA sucks for not having Uefa champions league and europe league license...
