PC VS PS4 Sales No Mans sky

It's a straight digital game correct? As in, no boxed edition? If so, I'll say pc considering there are far more steam accounts than ps4 owners.

No idea. Day one for me on PS4.

Hard to say really. But my guess goes to PC. Afterall, PC has more users, and a more appropriate platform for this game as well.

PS4, without a doubt. The "higher end" pc gaming community is much smaller than that of ps4.

In the long run, the PC version will sell more due to Steam sales and etc.

Probably thinks that it won't sell as great on consoles because they seem to prefer physical over digital copies.

I would say that it depends on how much spotlight it gets before release.

We can hate or love to admit it, but alot of people on console are more easily swayied by adverts, where as PC have shown an incredible "Word of mouth" of the different services.

So IF it is adverticed to high hevens, then I think it may sell more on the PS4, if it is at present levels of "hype" (god I hate that Word) then the PC might sell more, and if it dies Down hypewise, then PC without a doubt.

It is also correct like scottpsfan stated, that PC games tend to sell for a long time, where the initial sales of a console game tend to be the majority of it.

But I am willing to Wager that the PS4 version might end up selling better then some here would expect.

I'm assuming the spec requirement for pc will be rather high. Though if this game is a hit I can see it gathering a larger following on pc, over time, as another person mentioned.

So what you're saying is, your statement was based on no actual facts.

Probably PS4. Almost all multiplats sell more on consoles.

If the high end pc user was larger than that of popular consoles then most games would premier on pc. All the nonsensical charges--dlc, online, etc--exist because of consoles. If the high end pc consumer was greater than that of consoles then the current industry would be completely different. Not to mention big budget games are console centric by design. I don't bash the pc like you think I do. I just look at it from a realistic perspective. I stopped gaming on pc because imo pc gaming was almost a genre in and of itself(though, also, I think this will change over the next few years). The "real" pc games are a niche market these days.

Definitely PC. The fanbase for these types of games are on PC and it always has been. Space sims are few and far between on console and I can't remember one ever being that popular. While on PC, games like Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous are getting the most hype. Add that to the fact that there are far more Steam users than PS4 owners and the fact that the PC version will be cheaper, it's an easy answer really.

The term seems to be used by people who don't understand most people who play multiplats on pc will use a 360 or x1 controller.

The last thing any PS4 owner should be doing in regards to No Man's Sky is comparing it against the PC version in any way - even if it happens to sell more initially. Just wait until the game comes out and look at both versions and this argument will suddenly disappear.

bottomline more people will play it on PS4. and that's a guaranteed!

Depends which game and genre it is. As someone stated, Skyrim and Dark Souls games sell like hot cakes on PC.

Skyrim sold most on 360

Dark Souls 1/2 sold most on PS3

and The Witcher 3, No Man's Sky and the rest of other multiplatform will sell most on PS4. guaranteed

I take it you're talking about initial sales? If that's the case, of course games will sell more on console out of the gate. Games on PC have legs though and can easily catch up or surpass console sales with enough time, but that depends on what kind of game it is. Skyrim has been on sale a lot lately for PC and is currently one of the most played games on Steam. That will continue, while the console community dies. That's all due to mods and such.

Thats the kind of game that would be much more successful on Steam than a console.

Probably sell more on the PS4 because there are less options when it comes to space games. The game has stiff competition on the PC.

Initial sales will be bigger on PS4. That version will launch earlier and it will have no competition. Meanwhile by the time it hits Steam plenty of early adopters will have bought it on console already and for the reamaining audience the game will have to fight against at least half a dozen of high profile space sims.

This is all about initial sales. After about two years I think it's quite likely PC sales will surpass PS4 ones.

And like I would pay full price for any PC game..lolno I think the game may be on on PS4 first too. Doesn't matter though.
