Giving the Metal Gear Solids 4 a "10 masterpiece" shows the review staff have the same level of storytelling understanding as that of a child. Logically, Eurogamer should be the new standard bearer for gamespot, they give cool indie games 10's and high production value games with shit gameplay, well deserved shit scores.

What does GOTY have to do with quality?

The irony of the "GTA5 not on PC" business is that the PC port of GTA4 did not sell well on PC. I don't mean that the PC market is smaller, I don't mean 90% of the copies played were pirated copies downloaded by people who "would have bought it if they couldn't t have gotten it for free". I mean compared to other PC games...it didn't sell well.

The same is true for Gears of War. For a lot of PC gamers, it just wasn't worthy of their attention. When you have all those keyboard buttons and a really precise mouse, you don't enjoy cutscenes (or graphics that look good really far away) as much.

To be honest, threads like this are pointless. Most PC gamers can afford a console or two that is the same price as their graphics card (or CPU...or motherboard) but the same is not true for the "console elitists". If you can't afford a good PC and can't read well enough to enjoy it's massive library of strategy and building exclusives, you won't be convinced, even if most multi-platform games are vastly superior on PC. The end.

The consoles will look better as soon as Tropical Freeeze comes out.

Wow, I'm surprised they reviewed Loadout. It's a funny little game, and the damage modeling is pretty awesome. Hopefully GS continues to review lots of PC games

The DC from consolites is pathetic. If they had half the exclusives pc does, there would be nothing but talk about exclusives. In fact, the small difference in ps3 vs 360 was used as ammunition all last gen. So sad for console only gamers.

PC has quantity and quality. This month's game informer also shows something similar to what you are pointing out. They have their Top 50 Games of 2013 feature in which all of the editors of the magazine get together and vote on what they consider to be the best 50 games of the past year. Out of those 50 games, 30 of them can be played on PC, 24 on the PS3, and 19 on the XB360.

The PC gets more quality games than any other platform, and multiple metrics show that.

i think its pretty simple really

a review is just someone's opinion. best to make up one's own mind.

therefore, go with quantity. that 'quality' is defined by someone else, but quantity is flat out objective.

i primarily play on the platform with the most games, and because of this i'm always running into quality games.

next gen consoles are having droughts.
