The topic almost seems to defy logic doesn't it? However there's a lot of truth to it. Since publishers want the games to run on as many pc's as possible, many games will run on mediocre PC's thereby achieving parity from one set of hardware to the next. How does this make you PC Master Race fanboys feel?

People in System Wars don't read!

I don't know what your 2nd point says since I didn't read it, but I'm sure I can find something wrong with that too!!!

Clearly you've never heard of Star Citizen. Also you need at least 500 posts before you can troll us. ;)

I think it is great because my cheap PC can run modern games without having to upgrade.

Well...it might come off as a suprise to you, but pcgames often have this peculiar things that's called "graphical settings"....and you won't believe it, but they actually allow you to lower the graphics quality for weaker hardware and improve it for strong configurations.

Shocking, right?

that's some weak sauce right there chief. Your graphics will only get so good. Most games, even on the high settings look the same on cheap hardware or expensive hardware because that's how they were intended to be. Although there are a few games that take advantage of what you are talking about. few.

Never heard of Elite Dangerous as well I'm guessing? There are plenty of games that look fantastic on PC that would not likely be attainable on a console.

The dumbfucks believe that if it weren't for consoles all PC games would be multiple billion dollar games with Pixar graphics and very complex gameplay.

Designing a game around a kid's controller, with the constraints of inferior hardware, immediately limits the potential for "complex gameplay."

Many PC gamers also don't give damn about exclusives as long as the game in question has a UI that's developed for the PC first and then ported and left to the devs to decide which features to sacrifice to make it work within the limitations of consoles.

I think that was a true statement a decade ago. Not so much these days.

Need 500 posts. Also I just love when console kids complain about having options as if it's a bad thing.

That's what is great about PC gaming. Scalability so many people can play. Something that console don't like, with all their efforts to obtain exclusives and keep games from getting to other people.

Parity with mediocre PCs?, sure what's wrong with that?. The fact is most multiplats can be made to look much much better than the console versions and then you have powerhouses like Star Citizen that couldn't be done on consoles at this point.

So good to be a PC gamer.

There is a concept that many console gamers just can't seem to grasp.....adjustable settings. A high end machine can run games on Ultra/max settings with higher resolutions, 1440p or 4k for example. Weak machines can run the same games on medium or low settings at 900p or 720p.

Another fail argument in system wars...when I run my games maxed out at 6048 x 1080 with 4xaa it does not seem like parity with the consoles...but fanboys gotta fanboy right.

Either I get stunning looking games on a single monitor with great framerate or a good looking game on 3 monitors with great framerates and ontop of that we have ENB's and Sweet fx to customise the look of the game further....I think I will survive.

You can all bitch and moan about it not looking much better but you would be wrong.
