PC the new Casual King former Hardcore King?

Lately, I've noticed a lot of PC games have been moving towards the "casual crowd" the new "casz is king lets hitup non gamers and welcome them"

Heres PC gamer from old who utterly sick of this NEW "casual" "indy" PC gamer that his emerged lately

Starcraft 1 you've got 200 unit caps you've got 8 players blood everywhere, units are real, the wars are real, looks like a mortal kombat meets aliens world

Starcraft 2 cartoony 3d graphics, big super duper casual ships, battle.net turned into crap def not as hardcore as i remember the starcraft or brood war

Remember playing Warcraft 3 DOTA All stars and pugging in custom games or playing more professional games in the offical chatroom...with a hardcore balance dev ice frog, and tons of updates and balance fixes, it had creep denies, creep kills reward pros for being the best and owning people who sucked

Yeah well that all went away, PC remastered it with league of legends, it casualized no more creep kills no more gaining a giant edge on newbs, lots of similiar cone, circle abilities, no denies no skill showing off just basic crap even a girl can do it and holy crap i think ive had enough, i think im done with PC. It used to be no girls could even compete i remember that DOTA game i remember they got owned fast and left

I got an idea will make a 3D cartoony diablo 3 yeah just like starcraft 2 were gonna make it more casual and cartoony and its got like have destiny loot systems and oh yeah oh yeah the new pc games are coming out great

PC used to be master race way back in the day now its kids like casuals and even girls are on it now im just done with the platform im going to some other system that appeals to my needs that might be xb1 or just go full indy and just playing old school systems an games cuz i cant stand these new ones

That's exactly what I thought when I saw that picture. Whimsydale threw me way off the first time I entered it.

PC has always been king of casual games (Sims, Sim City, Slingo to name a few) and king of hardcore games. That's the great thing, you get the option of both. If D3 isn't to your liking, try Torchlight and Torchlight 2. There are many other games in the genres you listed that could satisfy what you are looking at. Just remember that casual games are what draw in the big crowds, so you see them advertised a lot more than the hardcore games that generally have a niche following.

This is not 8 bit era. Adding colors and making graphics better doesn't make a game casual. PC is the only platform where you find games like Starcraft 2, Total War, Endless Legends, Divinity etc, all "hardcore" games. Then there is whole E-sports scene as well. As for Starcraft 2, it is a better game than original Starcraft (better storytelling, better graphics, better path finding and so on). The only thing original has over Starcraft 2 is writing.

You should include nice racks like those in your threads more often...
