PC or Nintendo - who has done more for gaming?

Gee this is sure a fair comparison.

We're comparing two completely non overlapping or intersecting markets here, but...

Nope, I'm still gonna go with Nintendo.

This is going to go well.

I'd have to go with Nintendo. They helped get gaming into the mainstream. PC is more influential now, but back when Nintendo was true king of gaming, PC was for the hardcore enthusiasts. The answer might change 10 years from now but I'll have to go with Nintendo.

I'm going to go with PC. I heard their CEO is Gabe Newell and he's a pretty swelled guy.

PC because that's where you make games.

This is the OPs usual shtick. Every so often one of them sticks.

Both have done significantly more for gaming than either Sony or Microsoft.

Well this doesn't make sense because PC isn't a company and you can't make Video games without a PC.

Nintendo. Fact. No arguments.

Most of them were made by SNIPER clones and SNIPER impersonations.

This comparison is not fair for Nintendo because PC platform has so many developers involved as a whole ! Not fair .. i voted Nintendo because this is a silly comparison pretty much unfair.

Even though my primary platform of preference is PC I still have to go with nintendo. They are way too influential in the gaming industry.

Modern gaming owes way more to PC. (except Nintendo's modern games)

Exactly what I was thinking. It's a silly comparison.

Logically I would say the PC. Most genres we play now are from that platform. I guess what half of the most popular series has its roots on there?

But Subjectively I want to say Nintendo, As I think it brought more people into gaming at the point where it was released, which then moved across multiple platforms, and Nintendo is the only Company that really has Mascots that resolate with people no matter gender, age or culture.

But they are the giants indeed.
