yes I know there will be some gore games on the consoles

but still I think Consoles is more for kids and PC more for adults becouse they can afford it to upgrade every3/4 years

I think its mature wise like this:

1. PC

2. Xbox360

3. PS3

4. Wii ( I mean, you really should stop playing the Wii when your 15)

what do you think ?

I would say the PC's top tiered titles are targeting an older audience. While the Wii seems to be aiming for an everyone/younger audience.

Doesn't mean others don't play or enjoy all of them despite their age.

Xbox 360 has the least mature crowd of hardcore gamers. From what I've played from either xbl (catan, and uno), gears of war, halo2, graw, r6v, and halo 3 beta; I could really state this. I think the average age at least for most of those players is 13 years old. From what I've seen and played on calling all cars, motostorm and rfom, ps3 has an average maturity level. They aren't screaming and swearing every second in their squeaky little voice like in xbl.

Heh, I don't think so. The choice in a gaming system doesn't determine one's level of maturity.

It's as if saying cereal is for kids and oatmeal is for adults.

Most PC players I've played with are in their 20's. Guess since PCs are more expensive that the younger croud can't afford a good gaming one.

One thing i noticed ison the front cover of the PC version of Hitman Blood Money, Agent 47 has blood dripping off his razerwire.

On the 360, PS2 and Xbox version, NO BLOOD!!!

Bare in mind this is in the UK.

Well not to me (it's very healthy) but you get the point. I'm 22 and I prefer console gaming over pc gaming.

Ever since I first played PC when I was 10 years old I was hooked. NES and Genisis Where great, but PC was a deeper, more challenging adventurous place to game than consoles. 15 years later, I am 25 yrs old now, and still spend 80% of my gaming hours on PC.

No. I always come across a LOT of really stupid kids on CS, or Battlefield etc.

The average game is in his mid 20's to early 30's, so no matter what you are wrong.

I think the PC is for all ages honestly. I was born in 1980, so as a kid, I enjoyed the NES days, and then the battle of 1989 got me more into gaming. Around 1991-1992 I was heavily turned onto PC gaming. Remember all those Apogee shareware games like Jill or the Jungle and of course, Duke Nukem? I do. Blackthorne, Abuse, Myst, 7th Guest, Blake Stone, ES: Arena, Doom...The list goes on.

I played all of that stuff when I was 12, 13, and 14 years old on my parents PC, and a lot of kids today probably enjoy PC games on a shared home computer. I loved PC gaming so much that I saved up a lot of money to buy my own when I was 15.

It's true. Average pcgamer is good 6-8 years older than console one. Doesn't mean young gamer can't enjoy PCgaming, or that older person can't enjoy console gaming.

Agreed. I am a PC gamer, yet I like some of the games on the Wii that could be considered "kiddy". Although I will say that PC gamers tend to be older.

PC gaming is for kids with rich parents that spoil them.I run into a LOT of kids in WoW and Battlefield 2 and the other PC games I play online.

ViolentPressure

So, that would make you one of those spoiled kids then? Because maybe in your age bracket, those are PC gamers.

I know some spoiled adults too that love PC gaming. But when it's your money then no one can say you don't deserve it and call you someone with rich parents that buy you everything.

*Turns around and stares at his little cousin playing Dinner Dash on his TV* I kind of got the idea that it was excessable to everyone, considering we have some of the highest selling casual titles of all time.

i used to have that feeling with PC gaming. i reemember showing my dad an FMV in FF 8 and saying "a PC could never do that" (i didnt know much about tech at the time). dad brings down a PC (offically for school work :P) and shows me freespace. my PS1 is never touched again. games like baldurs gate, deus ex, outcast and freespace had a magic about them that no console could match. even the little things like getting PC game sin big boxes instead of CD cases made the PC feel that bit more special (its the little things :P). imho its lost alot of that spark though. perhaps its just a reflection of the state of the industry but i very rarely get that sense of awe that i got back then. games like crysis get a wow but nothing that makes my jaw drop. PC gaming is still ace....i probably spend most of my time playing on it too. but its not what it used to be imho.

RTS games are usually played by more mature people

also there are some good RPG's with good stories like planescape torment etc.....

but its no more mature than anything on ps1, ps2, ps3, xbox, xbox360

the WII is the kiddy console

ps3, xbox360, and pc are meant for more older gamers like 17-26 range

Which is exactly why the PS3 has LittleBigPlanet and the 360 has Viva Pinata.

See what I did there?

I'm only 16, and I consider myself a PC gamer more than anything else. (Too bad that my hardware isn't up-to-date, but come July 22, that's all about to change. Come on, Intel price drop! I want that Q6600 to fit in my 2000 US$ new gaming PC budget!) Admitted, I wasn't around to experience 1980s home computing, with Amigas and whatnot beating up on the IBM PC gaming-wise for a while. Still, the IBM clone my father had was good enough to play titles like Commander Keen IV, Doom, Quake, and many more shareware titles that would take me forever to list. Of course, I had plenty of experience with the NES, SNES, Genesis/Mega Drive, and whatnot, but I was always captivated by the PC as a gaming platform for some reason. That reason would turn out to be the following: -user-created content(mods) -ability to use any controller I want -expansive library that includes titles dating as far back as the 80s, and even non-PC titles thanks to emulation -ability to do far more than just gaming I must admit, though, most people my age seem clueless regarding PC gaming. Some of my friends didn't even know what Crysis was...

I somewhat agree, I started on the PC and will die by it. *knock on wood*:)

I'm 18 and PC is more for the "young adult"- adult gamers.

The 360 and PS3 is tied and can go either way depending on opinions and point of views.

the wii is just pure kiddo and a disgrace to true gamers.

Waiting for sc2 (hopefully this year) and Diablo3 by the next couple of years

First, PC is more income-oriented than anything else.

Second of all, your Wii comment just goes to show that you're only 15 yourself.

Actually real gamers have more than one system like me.

PC, Wii, 360, PS2, DS.
