Yea true PS4 completely sold out more or less. No PS4's around my area yet there are mountains of Xbones. It's what makes the beating that PS4 gave Xbone even more impressive.

Over seven million sold in less than two months for the PS4 and Xbox One and less than 400k in January. I'm very curious to see if the unprecedented sales of the two new consoles continue or if they come back down to Earth as January would indicate.

X1 will be dead water next month, ps4 would easily more than double its sales. No way they can compete costing $100 more. Ps4 is practically sold out and still almost doubled x1 sales, titanfall aint gona do sh%t. If ps2 or wii hadnt been supply constrained they would have sold much more than both

In November 2013:

• Xbox One sold 909,132 (in nine days)
• PS4 sold at least 909,133 (in 15 days)

In December 2013:

• Xbox One sold ~908K
• PS4 sold ~860K

In January 2014:

• Xbox One sold ~146k
• PS4 sold ~271k

That is a MASSIVE reduction in sales in one month after two months of unbelievable sales numbers. I am wondering if this trend will continue or if this is only isolated to January.

I think the PS4 might still have some supply constraints too with them holding stock back for Japan so this could have been worse for the X1 imo. Seems my theory around demand was right.

I came in here expecting both the Xbox One and PS4 to have sold much, much more than that.

I was not expecting the honeymoon period for the new consoles to end so soon.

Jan is slow month and as I hav stated in topic sales dip by around 60-70%, ps4 done better than x360 or ps3 did in their 1st jan. X1 sales dropped around 82% despite not being supply constrained, that is extremly worring for m$ close to wiiu level drop. I was expecting more frm ps4 but looks like they are saving for japan launch

@R3FURBISHED: Sony sold 1 million on launch day in NA alone according to their own reports. Also the PS4 is doing extremely well, it's sold out everywhere right now and with Japan's launch in 4 days time they can't seem to make enough PS4s to meet worldwide demand. It's M$ that should be worried, there are mountains of Xbones everywhere and they manage to sell half of supply constrained PS4, shameful. I'm not even gonna talk about WiiU lol

It's a shame this place receives so little traffic compared to how it used to be. There was a time when a thread like this would be a pain just to keep up with, now it's a slow crawl on a good day.
