5760 CUDA Cores, 12GB VRAM, 8 TFlops!

great 12GB of video ram that won't be utilized for 5-10 years.

#3 Posted by MonsieurX (29157 posts) -

But will it blend?

Why do you even mention the PS4? This card costs 3k. You could build two of my PCs for that much.

Who the hell is going to spend that much on a single card?

Holy Moley!

I want to downsample from 32K resolutions.

#7 Posted by NFJSupreme (5111 posts) -

This thing is probably more powerful than the ps5 lol

#8 Posted by Desmonic (13180 posts) -

Yay! How many PS4's will it cost though? Can you even afford it TC? :D

#9 Posted by ni6htmare01 (885 posts) -

Great!! I want to buy one so I can play Uncharted 4 on super mega ultra setting... Wait! PC don't have Uncharted! Yeah! I'll stick with my PS4 than!

#10 Posted by madskills6117 (4021 posts) -

A $3000 card to play multiplats at higher resolutions and more fps. What a waste of resources.

#11 Edited by YearoftheSnake5 (7020 posts) -

You don't need that much video memory unless you're doing 3D modeling and animation. Modern games won't get anywhere near the limit. If you buy that for gaming, you're doing it wrong. That one card costs more than it took to build my entire rig.

#12 Posted by lglz1337 (3113 posts) -

so much power and no use have fun

Me :D

What's the point of mentioning the PS4?

Also, this graphics card is a complete unnecessary overkill.

#15 Posted by jsmoke03 (12600 posts) -

3k....why?

#16 Posted by NoodleFighter (6959 posts) -

Only the power of Cell can stand up to Z

#17 Posted by freedomfreak (38639 posts) -

It's only $3000.

#18 Posted by Messiahbolical- (5542 posts) -

I'd rather get a PS4 for $400 than completely waste $3000 on a card that's going to play the same games as $150 card. PC gaming is overrated as f***. I gave into the hype and built a ~$1800 gaming PC a few months ago and I almost never even use it. I use my PS3 10x as much as it. Console gaming is just so much better.

A sli or crossfire with midrange video cards, 600$, beats ps4 to dust. No reason to buy something like this.

#20 Posted by Desmonic (13180 posts) -

It costs 3K? Wow. You can buy 7 PS4's and some games/accessories for that kind of money lol

#21 Posted by _Matt_ (8832 posts) -

Does that really cost 3k?! wow. That is a complete waste.

#22 Edited by adamosmaki (9429 posts) -

Whats the reason of this TC? A gpu that the sole reason that is on the market is for Nvidia bragging rights ? For 3000 you can build 3 great gaming pc's

#23 Edited by way2funny (4569 posts) -

You guys do realize that this isn't exactly meant solely for gamers? Apparently not

If you saw the conference, you would see this is a high end consumer card aimed for people who want to do simulations and 3d rendering. Not exactly interactive (game) graphics.

#24 Posted by NFJSupreme (5111 posts) -

@way2funny: most people don't realize titans are more for game making than they are for game playing. They are professional grade cards for people who do 3d modeling and animation. They are capital not really meant for regular consumers but people who use their rigs to work.

#25 Posted by KillzoneSnake (1668 posts) -

It shows how silly PC gaming has become. No need for this overkill GPU. By the time you actually need something like this you can buy a gpu that strong for $100 lol

If you saw the demo they did with a card, it was all simulations. Particles, physics, realistic ocean / wave representations, which is cool and does have uses in games, but not to the extent they showed. They wanted to make a consumer level card that allowed for these complicated simulations. They even demoed how it can be used for machine learning.

If you mean more frames at higher resolutions with almost the same graphic quality then ok.

With 2k i bough and xbox one,PS4 a kick ass PC and still have money to spend before i byte into something so over priced, but then again this cards are mostly for compute and workstations and sh** like that.

#30 Posted by Mystery_Writer (7880 posts) -

Had I not bought Titan last year and Titan Black this year. I would've been tempted.

But I'm sorry my crazy obsessive gaming habit, this is getting too crazy.

#31 Posted by NFJSupreme (5111 posts) -

@way2funny: pretty much the people in the market for this card intend to make their money back with it.

#32 Posted by CrownKingArthur (4039 posts) -

ps4 is already beaten to dust with a 400$ card

you don't need 8 tflops lol

#36 Posted by LustForSoul (5825 posts) -

The next gtx 780 will blow this out of the water price/performance wise. Again. Also, you don't beat the ps4 to dust with a card that's 7 times the cost. LOL

#37 Edited by Truth_Hurts_U (9074 posts) -

Just buy 2 780 Ti's for less.

Or

Wait for Maxwell. Cheaper and same or more power.

#38 Posted by gamecubepad (6080 posts) -

Your case will also double as a convection oven, delicious biscotti bake on BF4 or C3 for 2hrs until appears light golden, flaky, buttery crisp.

#39 Edited by evildead6789 (7261 posts) -

I think It uses 2000 watts lol

SONY manages unprecedented amount of GOTY, games in the top 5 of all video game history and 10/10 games, PC does not and thus SONY wins ans SDC.

#46 Posted by CrownKingArthur (4039 posts) -

actually i might hold off on the r9 290, wait for an appropriate maxwell card.

good they're focussing on performance per watt.

#47 Posted by Solid_Max13 (3525 posts) -

It's 3000$ and why put PS4 in this thread? Has nothing to do with it.

lol. 1 video card beats PS4 trust 10 time... 1 PC video card vs full console, video card, ram, memory, cpu, gpu.... beated 10 time. OUCH.

Well no shit the video card kicks the XB1 and PS4 and WiiU combined I don't get your point here, many video cards beat the PS4, oh but what about your precious Xb1 hmm? Don't see you mentioning that... Oh right you're still the 1% of morons believing in Teh Secret Sauce and teh Direct 12 and teh cloud.
