seriously the load times in the middle of the game happen alot, and even occasionally near battles.....

kind of ruins the pace when you are about to do some action and a loading screen pops up

Did you install a portion of the game to the HDD? I remember reading an interview where the dev said that you can install enough to get rid of all load times. (Still havent had time to go pick the game up myself :( )

I'm not sure if it HDD caches or not. It says before you start the game that you should look for an HDD indicator to show you when the HDD is being accessed. I assumed that meant "autosaving," not caching.

But it would make sense, as even Rainbow Six Vegas caches to the hard drive. Plus, with Socom, Oblivion, and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune claiming fame based on their HDD caching, I wouldn't be surprised.

All I know is that I am not dissatisfied with Ninja Gaiden Sigma's loading screens at all, in addition to it being a beautiful game.

Yes the big problem with Blu-Ray for games is loading and it is starting to hit home huh. You can load some of it to the HDD to get rid the loading screens. Also with all these games caching the Hard Drive and needed a small installation I think we will see a big problem with only 60gb soon.

so on ps3 you gotta wait and hour or so so that your game never loads in the middle of a fight. Whoa i wish i spent 200 more dollars for that incredible ps3.

I've got it installed and still get the load times. Doesn't really bother me though...
