New Xbox One Model/Bundle Incoming

A listing on amazon indicates that there will be a new X1 model coming soon. The "new" model will have a 1tb HDD (although this was included in the COD AW edition) as well as the recently outed new controller w/ 3.5mm jack. Oh, and MasterFlop Collection is thrown in there for good measure

According to a listing on Amazon, the console will be bundled with Microsoft's slightly-redesigned controller, which features a 3.5mm headset jack, and a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The listing also indicates a June 15 release date and $400 USD price point.

How many MCC bundles will there be? A bigger HDD is definitely nice though. I have 2 gb left on my X1 and have like 20 or so games in my library to install. It sucks having to delete and reinstall games. Guess I'll be getting an another external.

My PS4 is the same way but I don't want to upgrade the HDD because I don't want to lose the P.T. demo. I wish they allowed externals. (Sorry for this tidbit, I just feel both consoles should've been 1 TB minimum if all games need to be installed.)

@darkspineslayer: I'm more interested in a Vita price drop announcement. I haven't owned a handheld in 10-12 years, but if the Vita really is dropping down to less than $100...I'll pick one up. If anything, just to use for JRPG's and old PS1 classics.

Only way this would be a good idea for them is if they also have 500gb models (with new gamepad) for $350 as well. They need to keep that 350 price point and stop flip flopping

Yeah, that's been available since August of last year which is when I got mine. These guys had like several thousand available at the time for this price, best PS4 deal I've ever seen.

I suppose that means no Xbox One slim at E3. I suppose we could still get one announced at Gamescom.

A slim model? A price drop?

Unless the hardware itself is redesigned (i.e.XB1 slim), I don't think extra HDD and modified controller are worth an extra $50. It certainly shouldn't get people who were "on the fence" while some much better deals were going on, to run out and get one.

The recent release of ODST has encouraged me to fire up my copy of the Halo MCC, which has been sitting yet untouched in my backlog since Christmas. I gotta say, it's such a great collection to experience again on the Xbox One. I've already plowed through CE:A, 2:A, 3, and now finishing up ODST, then off to Halo 4. It's got me quite pumped for Halo 5 now, which I haven't been too interested in until recently. Hopefully they release Reach DLC to the MCC sometime soon.

I think it's an excellent idea to bundle the Halo Master Chief Collection with the Xbox One. Halo is as signature an IP for MS and the Xbox as Mario is to Nintendo and their consoles, and it's been there since the Xbox launched. And this is every friggin game... well, almost, soon though. Still, that's a lot of game to include with a console.

MS matching Sony's 1TB PS4 with their own hopefully is another move that encourages Sony to maybe drop the price of their console or maybe throw together a better bundle. As some might point out, Sony probably doesn't need to do anything to outperform the Xbox One in sales. But still, why lose one's edge?

I bet they announce it at E3. Shows what waiting a year can do for the price if you're willing to wait.

It maybe the rumored slim model. I see leave it as it is. Big, quiet and cool.

Also forget 1TB. That is only going to last so long. 2TB should be the norm.

Life of an early adopter I guess. Wouldn't bother upgrading my Xbox like I am with my PS4 though.

Headset jack? Useless accessory. What they should have done is do away with the battery packs for the controller. The rechargeable kit should come with ALL Xbox Ones. This isn't 2005 anymore.

If people are running out of room, why not just plug in an external HD?? Simple fix. It's a cool feature of Xbone!

But yeah, good for new buyers having 1 TB.

1TB would be nice, and the ability to use any headset you want is cool. Now how about that stupid eyesore of a power brick.

I don't see why the $350 version would disappear because this bundle exists.

Yeah but as long as Sony doesn't need to drop the price why would they? Its more profit and the company wants profit.

Guess it depends on one's set up. Mine is behind the wall unit so my eyes never see it. No soreness here.

Oh cool. Something else for me not to buy.

I think next year we'll see a Slim. Still a bit early for one this year IMO.
